We visited with our partner Meals On Wheels program in Wilmington-City Fare Meals On Wheels recently. Our visit celebrated the arrival of a vehicle funded by your donations to Meals On Wheels. City Fare Meals On Wheels provides home-delivered meals to homebound seniors in New Castle County.

Our summer intern Luke Connor was able to deliver meals yesterday with our Marketing Coordinator, Evena Adams. When asked about his experience he said "I really enjoyed my time because it's an opportunity to show our seniors that they are cared for and valued. Yesterday, Susan Dubb our Development Director delivered meals and sharing the experience to learn about volunteering is Liam Prosek. His school askes for their students to volunteer for 6 hours. Yesterday not only did he deliver meals with Susan but also came back to the office and helped with office duties. So good to see the next generation learn about the idea of volunteering! Thank you Liam for your day with Meals on Wheels Delaware!

Our Story
Since 1996, Meals On Wheels Delaware events have raised more than $5 million for home-delivered meals programs in Delaware. Last year, hundreds of volunteers across the state of Delaware delivered over 690,000 hot, nutritious meals - and as many warm smiles - to over 4,400 homebound seniors.
We are a non-profit organization focused on ensuring that every senior in Delaware who requests help with a home-delivered meal is able to receive the nutritional support they need when they need it.
We strive every day to raise funds and awareness to support the local Meals On Wheels programs that are delivering a difference to our homebound neighbors.
Meals on Wheels recipients are women and men, aged 60 and over, who often live alone. Many are struggling to balance their needs on a fixed income, and are unable to shop or safely prepare a hot meal for themselves.
