Need milk? The Barrow Food Pantry has approximately 80-90 gallons of 2% milk to distribute to families in need. This milk is left over from last week's food distribution. The Best By date is 09/01/24, and we will have school staff available assist with this pickup tomorrow, August 28th from 4:00-4:30 PM. Gallons of milk will be available on a first-come first-served basis at the Barrow County Food Pantry. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

It was hotter than a firecracker, but today was a great pet food pantry day! In about an hour, we gave out thousands of pounds of dog and cat food, and got to see so many of our favorite pantry people ❤️ 20+ new families signed up for our help, which means more pets get to stay in the home with the people who love them. That’s why we do it! 🐾

Thank you SOOO much to all our volunteers for braving the heat to help load trucks last night, and pull wagons today. Thank you to our incredible pantry clients, who collectively put $139.52 in our donation jar. That buys an entire pallet of food! And thank you to Jessica for the food/treat donations! Literally every can of food we get makes a difference, and we so appreciate it.

We struggle every month to have enough food to go around, especially with 30+ new families signing up every month. This month, we have gotten ZERO DRY CAT FOOD from any of our contacts. We will be distributing wet/dry dog food, wet cat food and cat treats. We have NO DRY CAT FOOD to give out tomorrow.

We hope everyone knows how hard our small group of unpaid volunteers works every single day, scrounging every resource possible for pet food to offer our great little community. Praying that next month is better.

In light of some recent issues, along with a shortage of food & resources, we’re making a few changes:

* ID will be required for pick-up.
* You may not pick-up for multiple households.

As a gentle reminder, the food that we give to you may NOT be sold. Taking food that is not needed for your pets is taking away from a family who does need it.

We want to help as many families as we can. 🐾

It’s pantry day! Just wanted to say THANK YOU for all the generous donations we’ve received after putting out of plea for more dry cat food. $30 buys us a big bag of food from Sams, which breaks down to feed 10 cats for a month!! We couldn’t do what we do without our incredible support structure! Our supplies are always low, but thanks to y’all, lots more pets will eat this month 😻

Yesterday was our first regularly scheduled pet food pantry in our new location - and it was AWESOME! Got to see a lot of familiar faces and signed up new households that need help feeding their pets. That’s 145 families, most with many dogs and cats, that won’t have to worry about stretching a low income to feed their furry besties this month. We love getting to do that! ❤️🐾 We’ll be back the 2nd Saturday of each month from 8-9:30a, in the back parking lot of Winder First United Methodist Church. Continued thanks to their generosity for providing us a great place to help our little town.

We are thankful to have amazing partners that help us … We would be lost without Rescue Ranch, Greater Good Charities, Atlanta Humane Society, and all of our amazing individuals who choose to donate their time & money to our organization.

Since May 1st, we have spent $2,596.34 on dog & cat food, plus $576.00 in storage fees. This does not include renting trucks, gas, money spent out-of-pocket, etc.
