I remember my dad (Verchie Purrier) saying " Meduuuura why una cut ya hair?" and would tell him no worries it will grow back (roll my eyes ....when he wasn't looking)
He always thought that my Mom had some good stock (genes) cause he knew the hair growth wasn't from his side of the family.
See, as a child I read all about Africa (the lies and the truth) and when the authors wrote about how the poor people of Africa would manage their hair, I was amazed because I'm black and the management of their hair was optimal. So, I have been cleansing my hair that naturally since. I found the natural maintenance products proved excellent for chemically treated hair.
So I will continue to flare my hair, cut it, heat abuse it, and color it because I know the secret (knowledge) to not only snap it back from chemical damage, but to build it up if one wants to transition from chemically treated to the natural look.
