“I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it” ✨

This mantra plays in my head from time to time when I am trying to justify my shopping habits to myself. I’ve always had more of a ~ treat yo’self ~ mentality as opposed to a saving money mentality 💸

Recently a good friend helped me remember that sometimes we can enjoy things, without having to actually own them. Who would have thought? 🥴

I was reminded of that mindset this weekend when I was trolling around Lowes for new tiles to bake earrings on + new plants to liven up my market setup 🪴

I came across a whole display of these gorgeous hydrangeas and stopped in my tracks. THEY WERE PERFECT! ALL OF THEM! My initial reaction was to throw as many as I could into my cart and run to checkout before my hubs could see me + talk some sense into me 😅😅😅

I had to stop and tune out the lyrics to 7 rings and instead recall my friend’s wise words. See, I’ve tried planting hydrangeas before… in the 3+ years I’ve owned my house, I have tried every year to cultivate a blue hydrangea bush in my yard. I have planted them directly in the ground. A few times I started them in pots. I’ve received them as gifts + bought them for myself. All to no avail.

To summarize: I decided to just enjoy these babies in the garden section yesterday, I have accepted that maybe I’m just not meant to have hydrangeas, but I still love them the same 💖

Hey everyone, Elisabeth here! It feel like it’s been forever since I shared a post 🤯

I could just say ‘things have been busy behind the scenes’ and leave it at that, but I truly enjoy being transparent with all of you that support Dew You 💫

The last month has been busy, yes - events, wholesale orders, tax time, custom pieces, baseball practice, being a human/mom/employee/creative, etc - but it has also been a time of transition.

Between the storefront closing and Dew You restructuring, there have been a lot of things up in the air when I’ve asked myself “what comes next?”

Lots of feels come along with the uncertainty. Anxiety? You betcha, but that’s an everyday thing for me 😅 but you know what’s also present in this time of transition? Opportunity. Opportunity to grow. Opportunity to flourish. Opportunity to consider endless possibilities.

As someone who struggles with change, I have to continuously remind myself that 1) all answers aren’t necessary RIGHT this moment, 2) do not judge yourself based on the success of others and 3) trust your gut instincts ✌🏻

Snails get a lot of hate, but I personally think they are fascinating + adorable. I used to have aquarium snails when I was young and would spend hours watching those little guys make their way around the tank. Fast forward 20 years and although I no longer have them as pets, I’m loving this cottagecore trend incorporating cute lil non traditional critter friends that may be overlooked, like snails + frogs 🥺
