For our Pool Book Club people ~

Hello and happy Thursday ~ it’s almost time to be back in the pool on a beautiful weekend! Wanted to update you~ our book club has decided NOT to meet this weekend as scheduled. With everyone’s busy back to school timelines, the consensus was to wait to start meeting at the beginning of our season next summer. That being said, we wanted to go ahead and recommend the next book(s) for our readers looking to keep having good poolside reads for the next few weeks until til we close on September 8th. Since our first book was a series, feel free to check out the precursor and book following our first book. They are called Part of your World and Just for Summer.

In case you didn’t love the last author, our book expert, Marissa Joyce, thought it might be fun to introduce a new author every time so that we can get acquainted with a variety of different authors and read the next books in the series if we want to, but aren’t stuck with an author we don’t love wasn’t our favorite. Keeping on the theme of light/beach treats, Marissa just finished this one (link below:) and absolutely loved it! It is a new release so there is a waitlist at the library and it is not available on Kindle Unlimited. She said if we want to read one of her older books, they are good as well. Thanks again to Marissa!

These will complete our summer readings for this year (enjoy and I’m sorry we won’t be able to discuss:) and we will start next summer off discussing our books with snacks and drinks under the gazebos. YAY for a beautiful pool weekend and great weather for our special event tonight ~ adults only karaoke from 8:30-10 pm! Bring your own drinks and a snack to share and dress as your favorite decade! We've got the most fun playlists set up from every decade and can't wait to sing and hang out with you!

Hours for the rest of our pool weekdays until the season ends on September 8 with public schools back in session are below (same as listed on our website but wanted to make sure to send this reminder) ~

Monday-Thursday 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Friday 4:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Saturday and Sunday remain the same as summer hours ~
Saturdays 10 am - 8:30 pm
Sundays 1 pm - 8:30 pm

DON'T FORGET ~ Our AWESOME back to school celebration party will be held (rescheduled from the hurricane weather last week) THIS COMING FRIDAY August 16 from 5-8 pm! We will have the BEST taco and ice cream food trucks, FUN pool games, prizes, and more! We cannot wait to see your family there to kick off the school year and celebrate a wonderful pool season! See y'all there and we hope our families in public schools have a great back to school week!

Update that our party this Friday has been moved to the following Friday August 16th (same plan just one week later due to the heavy rain expected throughout the day on Friday so we can keep everyone safe:)! The adults only karaoke night this Saturday August 10th from 8:30-10 pm is still ON assuming weather clears as is expected ~ thank goodness! Also a reminder that we close at 4 pm today due to lifeguards open houses for school. Thanks so much and I can't wait to see many of you soon!

*Mark your calendar for THIS coming Friday August 9th from 5-8 pm ~ Bring the whole family for Olympic games at the pool, Taco and Ice Cream Trucks (thanks to Luciano's and Bees Creamery - members can purchase dinner AND dessert:), and medals for the kids / special party favors for every family! We can't wait to see you there!*
*Adults only - This coming Saturday August 10th - Karaoke Party Night from 8:30-10 pm~ Dress as your favorite decade and come sing and hang out with other adults (or just relax, giggle, and watch others sing:)! Our team won the Spirit Award again this year (you can see the trophy on top of the Pepsi machine:) and won third place in the large team division at the City Meet on Friday! Let’s go Flyers!

Tween Night ~ Glow Swim Event!
Christy Robinson offered to host our Tween kiddos (rising 5th - 8th grade:) for a glow swim evening at the pool under the gazebos ~ we will have pizzas and glow things and so much fun for our sweet tweens! More info to come! Have a GREAT week!🩵

Today is the day…registration opened to HOA and all current members! So excited for another awesome pool season that our Pool Board and I are working hard to plan ~ look for many updates and exciting events happening this summer! Big Mouff Cheesesteaks will be outside the pool parking lot for Halloween starting at 5 PM. Come by and pick up dinner before you head out trick-or-treating with the kiddos. 🎃 👻
We will also be accepting canned food donations for Crisis Control Ministries.
