It's hard to wait for a phone call from your mechanic. We totally get it! You want to get back into your car or truck as soon as possible. And so do we! Here's a look at what goes on behind the scenes while your car is in the shop. Check out the link the in comments for more info!
You drop off your car at the shop and wait for them to call you back. And you wait. And you wonder why you’re not hearing from them. What’s going on?
Why doesn’t my mechanic call me?
While our policy is to touch base with the client each day that the vehicle is on the schedule, we realize that it may seem like a long wait between phone calls.
For a quick breakdown of what happens between those phone calls while your vehicle is at the shop, check out the link below:

We're currently scheduling about 10-14 days out. We're always super busy around the holidays. Call today to get your place in line!
Today Andrew's focus is working on a timing area service on a 2006 Toyota Sequoia for one of our most loyal customers.
Mike is back! Recently, our good friend and former technician/service advisor, has rejoined our team in a leadership position. For now he will be in a service advisor role but his ultimate goal is to help us grow the business. Please like and comment to help us welcome Mike back!
Our schedule is full and Beth will be out of town, so we're closing up shop next week. Andrew will be using the week to focus on clients already on the schedule.
However, we care about you and want to be available in case of emergencies (i.e. your car is inoperable). You can still text us or email us and Andrew will get back to you as soon as he's able.
Why we don't plug tires from the outside!!!
Photo 1: No external evidence that the tire has run on a flat. Structural integrity seems to be intact. Right? Wait for it!
Photo 2: Puncture object entered and exited the tire. Tire was run flat, even though the outside doesn't show evidence.
Photo 3: Due to the tire being run flat, the rubber got hot around the rim, destroying the inside of the tire, evidenced by the wear and rubber debris inside the tire.
This tire is no longer structurally safe for future use. It has been replaced.
Thankfully, the client purchased our tire warranty along with the tires and paid very little to replace the tire.
Replacing your cabin air filter based on your manufacturer's maintenance schedule (usually every 2-3 years or 20k-30k miles) could save you a lot of money!
🚗 What it does:
The cabin air filter cleans the air used by your air conditioning system. This affects the quality of the air that you breathe, and it also helps to prevent debris from contacting or collecting on the air conditioning evaporator.
🚗 Why this matters:
We want you to be healthy. Good cabin filters help to filter out pollutants from the air that you breathe inside the vehicle.
If debris collects on the air conditioning evaporator, this can result in the formation of acidic sludge that eats away at the evaporator metal, thus causing leakage of a/c refrigerant gas ("freon"). On many vehicles, evaporator replacement is a costly procedure due to its location behind the dashboard.
🚗 Potential problems:
1. Anything that allows debris or polluted air to move around the cabin air filter rather than through it. This can include a damaged or incorrectly installed filter. It can also include a poorly designed or manufactured filter.
2. Lack of efficiency: These filters vary in quality. A lower efficiency filter will allow more debris and/or pollutants to pass through it.
3. Air Bypass: Cabin air filters typically are a low tension or loose fit; thus they are already prone to allowing air bypass to begin with. A plugged filter will almost certainly allow air bypass and the resulting movement of debris and pollutants around the filter.
4. Restricted air conditioning or heating airflow: In severe cases, plugged filters can restrict the volume of air that blows through the air conditioning vents.
🚗 Best filters:
The best filters are usually going to genuine/factory grade, but we also recommend Purolator PureOne filters when genuine manufacturer filters are not available.
This 1996 Honda Accord project was a long process. The owner almost scrapped the car at a junkyard. However, they were having a hard time finding a replacement for this vehicle. They realized that repairing this vehicle would fit their budget better than trying to find a quality replacement.
The cosmetic improvements were only a part of the work involved in a very long process. Many components in the engine compartment were also replaced. The car still needs some paint work, but they're concern wasn't so much for the final cosmetic result as for the safety and reliability of the vehicle.
You may have noticed some changes at Marinelli Auto Service lately. Beth is back in the office part time, along with Arthur, who loves to help his mom and dad with the family business.
Arthur will often be found doing homeschooling in the office while Beth does her work.
With these changes, the best time to call us is 11am-6pm Monday-Thursday and 7am-noon on Friday. If you call outside of these times, that's okay, too. If we don't answer, we will call you back.
You will also find that you will get to interact with Andrew more than in the past.
We hope these new changes serve you well...and we might have even more exciting ones in the future!
When your vehicle suddenly breaks down and money is tight, and now your day is full of stress. You now have to figure out alternative transportation and where the money is going to come from to pay for the repairs. What if I told you that you could plan ahead and know what repairs are needed when, and have the money already at your disposal?
How to Save Money on Auto Repairs - Marinelli Auto Service Surprisingly, some of our favorite clients don’t spend a lot of money on their vehicles. In fact, one of our main goals is to help people reduce their auto expenses.
Weird story (but nothing we can't handle)--This Nissan Sentra wouldn't start. For weeks it sat in this guy's driveway and every couple of days he would try to start it and nothing. The day he finally got it towed to us, it started right up! Now we have it hooked up to a monitor that's continually gathering data and will catch when the symptom returns.
We're proud to share that we are founding members of the US Christian Chamber Of Commerce ! We've been members of the Central Florida Christian Chamber of Commerce since 2016 and are excited that this organization has grown so big it has gone national.
I'm thankful for former president Mark Goldstein and current president Krystal Parker for working so hard to make this organization a success. It has changed the trajectory of our business and our family.
Quality control of the shop stool.
So painful!
We’re a family business and we homeschool our son, Arthur. Sometimes that means doing school at the shop.

Whether you're deciding if you want to repair your current vehicle or are looking for a new vehicle, there are three important questions you need to ask yourself and your mechanic:
1. Is it safe?
2. Is it reliable?
3. Is it comfortable?
Stay tuned for a blog series that will explore everything you need to know about buying a vehicle!
Even Arthur has a job to do! The first thing he does when he gets to the shop is sweep and any other chore Andrew has for him to do. He’s saving up for a LEGO set!
We’re changing! Bethany and Arthur are back in the office part time and are both looking forward to serving you. With just the three of us at the shop, things might look a little different, but we plan to provide you the same quality service and care.
We now have a team of TWO mechanics!
Carlos was truly an answer to prayer. He is an experienced mechanic and an overall great human being. We've known Carlos for a while and are grateful for the opportunity to have him on our team.
Already we've been able to get people on our schedule sooner because we have extra hands on board. We're excited for the opportunities Carlos will open up to our business.
This game is a little like Where's Waldo...
