Our younger students have been learning all about cool patterns, shapes, and collage! This was a super fun art process for everyone!

Students in our Tuesday and Thursday Intermediate classes are learning some watercolor technique from references, using only the primary colors, mixing them, and 'seeing' the layers. They have just completed their first attempts, studying the original light source and adding their own textures, and we think they GREAT! Well done, students! More will be posted as completed.

😀Greetings! Our students in the homeschool class have been learning all about color mixing in order to create their own unique interpretations of the color wheel! When completed, the students were able to describe their process for painting and adding the supporting elements for their original ideas! Fantastic job everyone!🎨

👏Our youngest students just learned about the wonderful artist, George Rodrigue, as they created their own unique interpretations of his "Blue Dog" series. The class has learned so much about line, texture, and layering colors, and enjoyed SO many laughs in the process! These are so fabulous! Great job!

We understand that some local schools have updated their bell times, so accordingly, in addition to our Primary Art Class on Mondays, we have added a second 1.5 hr class option for beginner students on WEDNESDAYS - 5:00pm-6:30pm. This class is now filling, and is appropriate for children ages 5-9 years.

Our campers are having SUCH a great time in Sweet Arts! camp! We are thankful for Ms. Cyd, our awesome guest instructor, for teaching them how to correctly measure ingredients, comprehend a recipe, and bake delicious goodies to take home! EAS Wearable Art Camp was a huge success again! Summer campers did a wonderful job learning how to draw fashion models with correct proportions, in order to design, sketch and create their own unique fashion outfits, including hats, bags and shoes! Edgemoor Art Studio was out and about in the community! We brought our free kids Painting Stations to the annual Summerfest event at Tackett's Mill this past Saturday!

Here are some artworks from around the studio in our final weeks before Art Rocks! Summer camps begin!! Great job, students!

EAS final classes and pizza parties all this week! A little free time and cardboard can go a long way! These kids celebrated - so FUN! Summer camps begin June 19th!

These incredible still life drawings were completed by the young Saturday morning class following winter break!

We are VERY proud of these students - at first, they didn't believe that they could make their objects look realistic, but, through perseverance and real study in observation drawing, they accomplished their amazing finished artworks amid excitement and smiles!

The enthusiasm and loving dedication of EAS teachers helped the children (ages 5-11) to be diligent and try their best, and believe in themselves!

As the drawings emerged through lots of practice in 'seeing' the shapes and values, the students were excited and pleased with their resulting achievements! They learned that their skills can grow and develop if they push through difficult tasks, and now- they are empowered and strengthened to learn the next thing! Way to go students - you can do anything!
