Yolo County Central Landfill holds community event celebrating the 54th Annual Earth Day Earth Day celebrations are coming a few days early.

Come! Join the fun at our Earth Day celebration April 20 at the Big Blue Barn!

Circa 1920 player piano, mfrd by Autopiano. One air hose is torn, but the bellows work fine, the action on the keys is good and it's in fact fairly in tune! We have several dozen scrolls of music from that era in the original boxes. Come see us this Thursday morning; bidding starts at 9am!

Heeey Good Lookin', Whaaat ya got cookin'?

We'll be dishing up delicious deals at the Big Blue Barn tomorrow AND Saturday this week! We have all manner of kitchen gizmos and especially dishware. Can't wait to see you tomorrow. And then Saturday is our half-price sale too! 9am-3pm both days.

Say it with me: It will be sunny, it will be sunny! We'll make it happen! Tomorrow we'll be opening more boxes and rummaging for more housewares and especially kitchenware amongst the clothes. No guarantees for umbrellas, muck boots, or slickers but maybe you'll get lucky. It's always a lucky day at the Big Blue Barn! See you tomorrow between 9am and 3pm.

Limited Time Only: We don't normally do clothes but we have these multiple boxes. It'll be super rainy tomorrow but we will be open! We have to keep stuff inside so it may be a little crowded; but we'll manage it rummage-sale style. Come find what fits! Fill up a Yolo County Recycling tote bag for $10... And keep the tote ;-) See you tomorrow!

It'll be like Christmas all over again! We got several boxes of mystery donations. Not too much mystery though. Housewares / kitchen stuff wrapped in clean clothes as padding. At 9am tomorrow I'll start opening boxes so come replay Christmas Morn!
We'll have shopping bags ready and will sell the clothes at $10 / bag!

We're getting about 50 4x6 posts today. We'll have them for sale when the Big Blue Barn opens at 9am 01/25/2024.

At your next picnic you can reminisce about those halcyon days in middle school... Just kidding ;-) Cafeteria tables! We have seven. Four are in great shape; three a little rough around the edges, kinda like middle schoolers, I suppose. $100 for the good ones, $50 for the ones with a few dings. Bring a truck and see you Thursday!

Welcome to 2024. Big Blue Calendars for 2024 have been printed, and we’re handing out copies while supplies last. The scheduling hasn’t changed for the Big Blue Barn this year; we’ll be open every Thursday (except for the 4th of July and Thanksgiving Day holidays) for our regular sale days, and on the 3rd Saturday of each month for a ½ price sale day. Store hours are always 9am-3pm. The Calendar is SOOO much more than our store schedule; the calendar is filled with helpful information and Green Ideas. Our calendar is a good place to start if you’re looking to answer questions about proper waste disposal or just looking for ideas how to consume less to begin with!! For those who enjoy digital materials, a copy of the calendar is located on the Yolo County website, which you can download or bookmark! >
