Headed to today's adventure.

This new Scout is prepared for his first merit badge clinic; kayaking.

Breakfast, lunch pack and heading to checkin.

A small group of Scouts are back at Allatoona Aquatics Base to camp and participate in Kayaking or Life-saving Merit Badge clinics on Saturday. Helping new Scout with his tent and then a game of cards before taps.

The campout wrapped up with a campfire program with skits, songs and jokes. It concluded with the respectful retirement of several worn flags.

The Scouts cooked burgers (with bacon) for Wednesday dinner.....here's the adult patrol meal: Dutch oven corn bread, BBQ ribs, apple/pineapple cobbler and salad.

Wednesday afternoon was great weather to try stand up paddleboards.

On Wednesday, a guest speaker visited the Scouts at camp the discuss rights and responsibilities of citizens and citizenship.

Scouts continued stacking firewood on a second stand; before and after.

Found in the center of one of the log segments. Almost cylindrical along entire length.

Scouts are prepared with hearing protection and work gloves.

The split logs are moved and stacked for campers to use

Scouts are volunteering some service hours. Scouts are staging log sections for an adult to split.

Adult patrol has Dutch oven cheddar/sausage biscuits and coffee.

Eggs are up!
