Sarah had some skilled camera work to get this in focus! This is microfilaria, otherwise known as baby heartworms. Heartworms can cause permanent heart and lung issues, and since they are a spread by mosquitoes, can be pretty bad here in Georgia. This is why we recommend heartworm prevention year round for our fur babies as well as annual testing! If you need your heartworm prevention refilled, give us a call or visit our online pharmacy. 🐾
