Yesterday Aspen said good-bye to wonderful volunteer named Ruthanne who has been with us since 2006. Sad to see her go but happy she gets to travel and do other things in her retirement.
If you would like to take the Advocacy core training to step into Ruthanne's shoes (be careful they are big ones) contact us! We like long term committments with our volunteers!

Thank you to all the Comprehensive staff who brought Christmas to the homes of 72 children affected by crime this holiday. Your generosity is greatly appreciated by the kids and Aspen staff! Happy New Year to all!

I'm slow to post but wanted to share this with you. What a fun night with some of Aspen's volunteers and staff. Painting is a great way to practice self-care. Let's keep it going!

Aspen staff attended training today. The morning was a speaker named Cynthia Morrison from Dept of Health who spoke on the developing teen brain. Really good stuff to know about teen's thoughts, choices and resiliency.
The afternoon was filled with the inspirations of Jordan Chaney an amazing individual, poetic author and motivational speaker. He is somone to if you are working with youth. www.poetjordan.com

January is Human Trafficking Awarness Month
On Saturday, January 23rd , We will be at Performance Park at 9:30 am to participate in an important event! We hope you join us!
Your donation of gift cards, in any amount, will be used to help those affected by human trafficking to buy warm clothes, food, hygiene products.

At 16 North 3rd Street this evening to participate in Dia de Los Mu***os. Join us if you would like to visit our alter celebrating those who have lost their lives to crime. Candlelight vigil, food and good company await.
