Floors came out awesome!
Crazy delays on the water damage repair while waiting for the insurance company to find a place for the family to live. After a 3 month wait, the customer gave up and is staying put. We removed the old wood floor and patched all of the drywall. They added a shower remodel so we're tackling that too.
Wrapping this one up. Just a couple more days now that the appliances have arrived. The Bosch double oven was the long delay.
We just finished this kitchen remodel for the current owner of my first house. He bought his cabinets from Lowes or Home Depot. We were able to modify his design to make it all work. We added Vadara quartz, ceramic subway tile backsplash, installed his appliances, and hooked up the sink and faucet. Done!
Armando made good progress getting the flooring down yesterday and today. Customer was short 2 stair nosing and a T mold so he'll be back to finish up on Saturday.
Here is the finished product. Happy client's and we enjoyed working for them.
Dry bar
Mike is making nice progress, as usual. Owen Plumbing will be out tomorrow to connect the sink and faucet. Gustavo next week to get painting done.
We're just updating the counters and backsplash plus painting on this one. Backsplash started this morning.
Finally picked up the lock box and this one is done!
Good couple days at this downstairs remodel. Demetrio and Juan making progress with glass door inserts and shelves and Mike finished setting the backsplash tile. Gustavo got there after lunch to start painting.
More progress from Mike and Robert.
Mike's setting tile in the downstairs shower and Robert's getting the floor in the kitchen and familyroom laid. Feels like it's picking up momentum.
Demetrio & Juan installed these built-in's yesterday with a walnut butcher block top. These are painted maple doors with hardware.
Quartz installation day! Flooring and shower waterproofing begin Monday.
Mike got this fireplace surround finished today. I absolutely love it! Another reclaimed piece of lumber for the mantle from an Amish barn built in the 17th century.
After 2-1/2 days of cabinet installation. Things are moving along nicely. Not too many snags so we'll be ready to template for in the next couple of days.
Final next week. Customer is happy. Demetrio is happy. I'm happy.
Rough MEP's done. Sheet rock hung, taped, and mudded. Sanding and texture was finished last week and primed over the past weekend. Cabinets delivering later this week.
I forgot to show the finished product of this partial block wall and footings rebuild. Picture 1 shows how far the wall was leaning. Picture 2 shows the wall now. Existing block is no longer available, but the new block is a decent match and with a proper footing and steel, should last 50+ years.
Rodney and Kevin from Owen Plumbing made quick work of this one. We added plumbing for a new island sink, a recessed ice maker box, cleaned up the main sink plumbing, eliminated the wet bar plumbing, and took care of the shower rough-in valve, sub-drain, and head. Good stuff.
Hugo finished up the face frames today. Demetrio and Juan will be there tomorrow hanging doors and drawer fronts while Hugo starts prep in the stairs.
Hugo's out making progress on this kitchen refinish. This Carbon Copy is a pretty sweet dark gray. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Rough plumbing day on this one.
Primed and ready for bondo and another coat of primer and paint.
Patrick and Jesse started on this one last week. Plumbers will be out tomorrow to get rough done. Cody will be out Saturday to walk the electrical with me. Hoping to backfill, drill, epoxy steel, and pour back concrete on Monday.
A busy Saturday and Monday for the exterior at this job. Gustavo was starting prep while Noe and NiƱo were installing the outdoor counter. Gustavo finished up the painting on Monday.
Started on a refinishing job yesterday. The cabinets at the perimeter of the kitchen and the stairs will be carbon copy and the island is probably going straight black.
Getting very close to being done. We're working on the details every day. , , ,
I think Patrick finished the Hardie Plank siding on this one today. Next, we can get the rough top installed and fabricate the quartz pass thru bar set.
