The Hi-Desert Cultural Center is proud to host a film screening of the new short documentary film, TOMMY PAUL: PORTRAIT OF AN ARTIST. Tommy Paul was first and foremost, a musician. For many years he operated “Tommy Paul’s Beatnik Cafe” in Joshua Tree and performed all over the high and low deserts. Eventually, he had to confront a number of serious health challenges. In doing so, Tommy turned to his music—and found purpose, happiness, and fulfillment through his art.

Stephan Gladieu and a limited number of copies of his new book about the Homo Detritus body of work have arrived at the gallery! Stephan will be signing books today after his artist's presentation. Presentation (a free event) begins at 3 pm today (Sunday, Oct 30) at the JTCOGA located in the Yucca Valley Visual & Performing Arts Center - 58325 Hwy 62, Yucca Valley CA 92284.

Hey everyone! We're open regular hours again. Come visit us all this weekend from 1-5 pm! The art, book, and gift shop is open too! Regular hours are Friday-Sunday from 1-5 and, starting the end of this month, there will be expanded hours in afternoons and evenings during the week.

Stephan Gladieu will be in town the first week in November so ... We're extending the current exhibition through November 5th, 2022 with a closing party and book signing by Stephan on November 5th as well. Earlier in the week Stephan will be at the gallery to answer questions and provide discussion about his work. We'll post his schedule soon.

Regular gallery hours will start again after labor day.

And we will be having dance classes in the dance studio and gallery as well!!

Open today from 1-5 pm! Admission is free, the exhibition is awesome, and ... the refreshing beverages are a bargain. :-)
