Graduating Member Spotlight: Abigail Emmons - Phi Theta Kappa President
“With the transition to online, I miss seeing students and faculty on campus. It has been a challenge to manage my time without having to go to class and other people to keep me accountable. April went by in a blink of an eye, and without the change in my daily routine, it was hard to keep track of what day was which . While in quarantine, I have spent more time with my dog, organized my room, and called up some friends. It’s hard to believe we’re nearing the finish line for this semester already. There are many quizzes, exams, and assignment deadlines that have been crammed into these last 2 weeks. I encourage everyone to do their best to finish well in classes, we have already made it this far, we can do it!”

Graduating Member Spotlight: Patrick Walker - Phi Theta Kappa Vice-President of Scholarship
“To be honest, during the first weeks of quarantine I lost a ton of motivation for school. The abrupt change to an online format plus the incredible anxiety behind the pandemic really discouraged me. However, one major factor that has helped me to continue to work just as hard as before is self-care. If I struggled to get out of bed one morning to work on an assignment, I would do something else instead. For example, sometimes I would play with my dog, catch up with friends on the phone, or clean my room – ok, and maybe binge way too many shows on Netflix. After spending some time on myself, I would realize that despite the new hurdle presented in front of me, I could overcome it.
Many other students are also facing the same struggles, but now that finals week is coming up, I urge all Phi Theta Kappa members to finish the semester strong. I can tell all of you are capable of greatness and I am grateful to have known every one of you. You guys can do it! Good luck and keep safe. "

Graduating Member Spotlight: Betty Tesso - Phi Theta Kappa Vice-President of Service
“I have been trying to get all my work done. Honestly I have been struggling to focus and get things done. But doing back home and having lost my normal set up for school it's been hard to manage family time and school time. But I am staying positive. Can’t stop now, gotta finish strong. Two more weeks to graduation! Cant be more excited to finish this chapter of my life and start a new journey.
Hope everyone is safe and having a great semester!”
Our very own President! Congratulations!
Congratulations Abigail Emmons!
