Our Story

Rainbow Oncology - Specialist Radiation and Clinical Oncologists. Our opening in Amanzimtoti in 2010, saw the fruition of owner Dr Waldemar Szpaks’ vision to open a Cancer Care Centre that would provide comprehensive support and personalised attention for patients, within a friendly and tranquil location. “Life can be challenging at the best of times and the diagnosis of cancer can be life changing,” says Dr Szpak, “we want to ensure that our patients are as comfortable as possible during their treatment.” The desire to treat patients within their own communities, where they can receive the care required close to their families and caregivers, led to the opening of further branches at Parklands, Hillcrest, and Shelly Beach.

Proud and capable teams of Specialist Clinical Oncologists assist Dr Szpak at Rainbow Oncology. They are backed by a handpicked group of more than 25 support staff that are both dedicated and efficient. At Rainbow Oncology, we are a compassionate people oriented team and our patients’ wellbeing is paramount. We are always aiming to “Do more and be more.”
