This is the last day of this bible plan and I trust that I have planted a seed of hope into your life. You can have the victory if you follow the Word.

If there is one thing that stands out from the story of David, it is that he had a relationship with God. From that relationship he could do mighty exploits. He became the champion of the nation of Israel in this momentous event, and later on, he became the king of Israel. But it all began when he had to shepherd his father’s sheep.

Every part of the Bible is for our edification and growth. It is also a very practical book that gives us the how and the what.

Day eleven: There are some basic truths in this scripture that is still relevant to us today. In it lies the practical application of our victory.

When the enemy arises, we must face him head on and not quiver in fear. There must be an urgency within us. This urgency is birthed from a place of knowing. There is no room for doubt or second guessing yourself.

Day ten: Are you in a place where Satan has settled into a comfort zone in your life?

What are you going to do about it? In whose name will you proclaim victory?

Day nine: The battle in 1 Sam 17 is not complete without mentioning David’s character. He was, after all, a man after God’s own heart.

David wore what he knew. His armour was God fortified and not human fortified. It was tested. He trusted God’s armour. He had a relationship with God. His trust was birthed from that relationship.

I would like to leave you with the following passage from the Book of Revelation. This section speaks about our future inheritance (nachal). Like David, we can draw from this truth right now when we have a giant to face. Life is hard and trying. If you find it easy, you might not be in the River getting worn and washed by the Word.

Rejoice in your current battle, circumstance, and trial. Move fluidly and without fear as David did; for each step will only make you smoother in the New Jerusalem!

Day Seven: Though it only took one smooth stone to defeat Goliath, David picked up five, a clear sign that the Word is what defeats a beast. Jesus was likewise taunted (tempted) for forty days. Like David, He overcame the adversary with one smooth stone by quoting one of the FIVE books of Moses: Deuteronomy, the fifth book. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

Day six: When faced with the threat of an enemy army and their champion, it wasn’t the king’s armour or sword that David chose. No, this shepherd went with what he knew best, his trusty old sling shot.

His choice of ammunition was Five smooth stones from the brook. Before we get into his choice of picking up five stones, let’s look at the Hebrew word used here for brook.

Day five: As a Davidic company, we cannot trust and rely on human-centred armour. We must put on God’s armour. We must be Christ-centred. A humanistic armour is unequipped [not tested] to protect us.

Day four: David received five commands from his father, Jesse. He acted quickly on these commands. It showed the heart of David. He understood the apostolic command of the day.Part of an apostolic command is that you have to act quickly. There should be no delay in your actions. It is not time to think about the next step; it is time to act.

When you do not take your daily bread, you become powerless to fight the enemy. You forget about God’s Word and the power it has. You become depressed and fearful. You try to run and hide, but Goliath’s voice holds you captive. Instead of going to Azekah, they stayed in the valley.

_Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope, for even today I will restore double to you._

To be called a prisoner of hope It means to be concealed, hidden, locked in Him - the God of hope. We are entwined, bound to the God of hope. Hope is not optional. You cannot lose hope! It’s a command. Speak life to the valley of dry bones that lost hope! (Ezekiel 37:11).

Hope does not disappoint (Romans 5:5). It is the substance of our faith (Heb 11:1).

Love hopes (1 Corinthians 13:7).

Even in Job’s distress he declared hope:

_For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its tender shoots will not cease. Though its root may grow old in the earth, and its stump may die in the ground, yet at the scent of water it will bud and bring forth branches like a plant._

Return to your Stronghold again, the secret place where He speaks and breathes hope. Christ in you, the hope of glory! He will restore you in this stronghold.

In the last couple of weeks, I have been part of several projects.

During the three different projects, one thing was highlighted. Team spirit and cooperation.

We can have all the numbers we want, but if we do not work together, then numbers are irrelevant. Numbers can split, it can divide and even be subtracted, and the project gets lost in hurt and confusion.

If we do not act like one loaf of bread, we cannot defeat the enemy. Remember Gideon and his 300 men? They acted as one loaf of bread that destroyed the Midianite camp.

Finding God again has done something in my life words cannot explain. All I can do is looking forward to the next phase in my life. This season has become more important than ever before. It has been a refreshingly adjustment where the Father has made me whole.

The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
It happens because God declared it. It is a irrevocable principle that cannot be changed.
And just like it is irrevocable, God's word is irrevocable. It cannot be changed. It is true.
Joshua 1:8 must become true in our everyday life. It must not depart from us. It must stand firm in our hearts and minds in order to enter the promised land.
This is the first pillar of restoration.
