" Calm down ma'am", says the detective, what! This heffer! "Don't tell me to calm down bhuti, I just got a finger as a gift from someone i don't know so please", i say with so much venom. I don't mean to be rude but this detective is downplaying this thing, I'm being threatened by some unidentified person! I'm also running late for work and no one scares me like my boss. "Ma'am do you mind if you come into the interrogation room so i can take your statement?" he queries, "no, can't i come back after work, I'm running a bit late" i respond. "Sure" he hands me his card, "call me when you're coming because I'm handling your case okay", he says. "Of course, thank you and I'll see you later" i exit while waving my hand. Finally i get to work and wow nje ayo mini yam namhlanje, do i not find my boss with his brood. A whole month of Mr Mkhize coming to work alone and now when I'm having the most awful morning i find them in the office. It's gonna be a long day!

MANQOBA'S POV
Lubanzi's dislike for this girl is visible, it's reflected in his eyes. He looks at her while she's un******ng- wait un******ng? "What is she doing, she- holy smokes f**kkkk!" Tyler exclaims, she's a beautiful woman with a banging body no wonder lomfana okuthiwa wuKwenzokuhle is all over her, i wouldn't mind fu***ng her. "We need to eliminate her", Lubanzi says looking at her squinting his eyes, "WHAT?!" Mbuso exclaims, "Eliminate all that sexiness NEVER", he adds. We all laugh, Mbuso's always been the goofy one of all of us. "But seriously we can't do that, unless you want your brother to hate you for life", "Why do you say that", Andile asks, "Well judging by how we treated her in the house and how we name called her, he knows we don't like her", he says "we'll be the first suspects and until he gets information that says otherwise he'll distance himself from us, you don't want that bafo". "He's right, can't we offer her money, i mean the chick is a PA who hates us, she'll take it, maybe half a million",Themba says. "It's settled then", Lubanzi says.

ILANI'S POV
It's been a month since we went to Durban, a month of pure bliss whenever I'm with Kwenzo. Life is good, I'm earning my own money, living in my own space and i have a friend this side. There's a knock on the door. "Hello" i smile-frown looking up at the tall man wearing all black. "Ilani Mdleleni?" he asks as a frown plasters on his hard face, "that's me" i smile once more. "I have a package for you, be careful" he says leaving. "Hayi bhuti where's the thing i sign on?" he looks at me weirdly, "like they do in the movies, i have to sign for a package" i demand. "This isn't that kind of package nkosazane" he says dismissing and leaving.

"I sent you plenty of messages dude", she says when i walk into the kitchen. "About what ke because i didn't see them", i say, " I wanted to go to the beach but you're busy so it's okay KK", she says smiling, she knows i don't approve of that nickname. "No let's go", "Really?" she beems. Oh maaaan i love seeing her happy and smiling. "Yes really" i answer smiling.

We walk back into the lounge, she takes my car keys along with the picnic basket and walks out. "She didn't strike me as a gold digger", Zwe says, "You can never know with these hoes" Mbuso answers. I look over to my brothers and they're furious its clear they don't like her but do i care NOPE! I share a special connection with uIlani and i don't want to let that go, ever. "We're going to Durban, she wants to go to the beach so lock up when you're done judging her whereas you don't know her", i say. "Nc nc uweak mfana", Lubanzi says, " you find good p***y and f**k it for 3 weeks and you're already burning bridges, nx yanginyanyisa", he continues. I shake my head and leave trying to talk to them while they're this mad is a waste of time.

I close the chat, laughing. "So what's your name", he asks. I laugh "What if ndiyi ghost mmh?" "I know a ghost when i see one", he responds laughing "Ilani, Ilani Mdleleni", i say. "You don't know mine, so what if I'm a serial killer hmmm?" he says smirking. "I know your brothers", i snicker. "My brothers?" "Mhmhmm Lubanzi and Manqoba Zulu." He says nods and says nothing. We park at the gate of my complex. "Wanna come in for a cup of coffee?" "Sure why not." I signal for bab'Ntsimbi to open, he's a security at the complex, very rude, must be old age. "Kwenzokuhle", he says. "What? ", i ask, "Igama lami wuKwenzokuhle Zulu", he says looking at me. I hold out my hand "Nice meeting you Kwenzo", i say shaking his hand.

KWENZO'S POV
Spending time with Ilani is always amazing, i took her home this morning after our sleepover. Getting to know her was a mission and a half but i did it, i pulled through. Sitting here in my apartment watching soccer highlights from this weekend, my brothers and their friends barge in along with their girlfriends. "Hawu ngeke nifunani nina la?" I ask them, "You've been scarce bafo", Manqoba answers. "Unomntu lo", uLubanzi says. "Ak'siyena umuntu wami, she's just a friend", i retort. "Unamanga!", Tyler says playfully, "Awuthule wena mzulu omhlo-", the door opens cutting me short and in comes the short goddess wearing a long maxi dress that shows her curves, flip flops, a sun hut and shades that cover her face. It's only when she steps in further that i notice she's holding a bag and a picnic basket. "Hello", she says sweetly, this one has a small voice when she's uncomfortable.

Working for the big eight is exhausting, those people are tyrants, they look down on people who aren't rich and don't have any human decency at all. Their girlfriends are jus- let me not. Zwelibanzi Mhlongo, Thembalami Sibiya, Lubanzi Zulu, Manqoba Zulu, Andile Ngcobo, Mbuso Majola, Tyler Smith and Nkosikhona Mvelase, beautiful men with stinking attitudes. You know when a person is good looking but has an annoying personality they automatically become ugly because intliziyo zabo zimbi. I can't keep working here, I'll go crazy so I'm applying for a job anywhere at this point. Cleaner, waitress, babysitter anything really. There hasn't been a post about an open vacancy for a social worker so until then I'll keep doing these jobs but i know i won't be stuck here forever.

I'm at the mall, Woolworths, I'm a bit short but I'm getting that ice cream. "Let me", he says taking the ice cream from the top shelf and handing it to me. "Thank you", i say smiling lightly, he looks familiar, like Lubanzi and Manqoba Zulu. We talk while going to the till. "Let me take you home", he offers, "Oh no, I'm fine thank you though", i say. He smiles and says "I insist", he smiles lightly, he has an amazing smile. I trust him and I feel drawn to him, there's this connection between us like we've known each other forever. "Well?" he asks still smiling and looking down at me, he's a bit tall, infact too tall. He's dark with a fade, well manicured nails. He's wearing a crispy white t-shirt with black shorts and slides. "Sorry, I zone out a lot, uhm okay let's go but let me-" I say taking out my phone and start taking pictures of him, the car and the number plate of the car and send it to 'til death do us part, it's a group i have with my besties. Getting into the car my phone pings, it's messages from the group

"Speak ntombazane", the one in the far end commands, furrowing his eyebrows together seeming quite annoyed.
*Ahem*
" Good morning gentlemen, I am Ms Mdleleni th-" I'm cut short by the one sitting on the table with a drink in hand "My new personal assistant." "Uhm yes, I am sorry I'm late, Lindelwa from reception was telling me the do's and don'ts, it won't happen again sir", I explain bowing my head a bit. "Good, I've already looked at my schedule, take this," he throws a file on my face, "and summarize it for me, i want it on my table before lunch clear?" I nod in agreement. "I don't speak sign language ntombazane", he snorts. "Crystal clear Mr Mhlongo sir", I respond. Satisfied with my answer he relieves me and i get to my office which is situated right in front of the office door. Time to be independent!

It's 12h30, lunch time. I walk to the cafeteria and get a sandwich & a bottle of water. Walking back to my station I meet five overly dressed women, six inch stilettos, heavy make-up, long nails and hair extensions that almost touch the floor. They make their way to the door. "Excuse me, do you have an appointment with Mr Mhlongo?" i ask settling on my table. "Honey we don't need appointments to see our men and do you know who we are?" she says looking at me from top to bottom. "No ma'am i don't know who you are and unless Mr Mhlongo tells me to let you through then you'll just have to go home or keep me company", i respond sarcastically. The phone rings, breaking our staring contest i pick up and say "Net Care Private Hospital you've been connected to Mr Mhlongo's office I'm his PA Ms Mdleleni good afternoon and how may i be of assistance?" fuuuuuuck that was long. "My office NOW!" someone says at the end of the line, Mr M maybe? I hang up and make my way to the office. "You see those women outside, those are our women cordially your bosses as well, you take orders from them as much as you do from us is that clear?" "Y-yes sir", i respond. "This is what happens when you try to help the poor babe", the other one says walking to Mr Mhlongo and kisses him.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas it's Monday. I know normally people associate Modays with obscurity and duskiness, believe me I'm one of those people. But today's Monday is different because 4 months after completing my degree and unemployment I have a job, it's not something I studied for but you know beggars can't be choosers.

Standing infront of this huge ass building, i can't believe it, it's HAPPENING! I walk in and wooooow it's the third time I've been here but i cannot get over the- well everything from the architecture to the color coordination, magnificent.
"Good morning ma'am may i help you?" a voice snaps me out of the trance i was in, I smile sheepishly, embarrassed to be seen looking around like that. Well i cannot help it besides this place being amazing, looking around is a black thing we can't help our eyes from scanning our surroundings. "Ma'am did you hear me?" the person says again, more aggressively this time. Lindelwa Receptionist her badge reads.
"Oh uhm, I'm Ilani Mdleleni", I respond. "I'm Mr Mhlongo's new PA" i add. Finally sje smiles and says "Oh you're Pat's replacement. Come this way, Mr M expects to find you waiting with a cup of coffee and his schedule for the day, every day at 7h30." She proceeds to make sure i have everything i need and directs me to Mr Mhlongo's office.

CEO Mr Z MHLONGO JR is written on the door. Standing behind the closed door I take deep labored breaths to keep my anxiety at bay. Whoa! So much testosterone in this room. Such beautiful men, fine specimens indeed the kind you find in worn out novel pages and they're right here starring at me waiting for me to say something. Eight sexy eyes looking at me, I feel so small under their gaze.
