Time for an intermediate workshop!

If you've joined us before, or have some basic embroidery behind you, this is the workshop for you 💕 In the workshop, we'll teach you some new stitches that are perfect for florals, leaves and filling shapes. You'll walk away with a lovely leaf sampler to practice on and 3 DMC skeins of your choice from our hosts, The Crafters Inn!

For only R400 you will get all your practice materials, a sampler kit, 3 skeins, refreshments and a wonderful, fun lesson.

This is perfect for beginners! There are only 10 places, so you better be quick if you would like to join us.

You will choose a set of 8 stick & stitch patches, which are printed water-soluble stickers for sewing designs onto fabric. We'll go through about 4 or 5 stitches and then help you start your project

* A piece of clothing, or other material item you want to embellish (think Tshirt, baby grow, blanket, napkin, blouse, denim jacket, sweatshirt)
* A sense of fun

What you get:

ALWAYS LEARNING! I've been working on this sampler to teach myself some new stitches. Guess which one I found the most difficult? 😅 The double chain started well, went very wonky and then I somehow managed to bring it back. This will need a lot of practice! It's
Sinhalese chain stitch.

HOW IT'S GOING...
When we started Kiff Stitch in 2021, I wasn't a great embroiderer (ironic, I know!). I left that up to Linda, my mum, business partner and exceptional stitcher! I did my first Protea kit prototype as simply as possible. But now my stitches are more interesting and much neater, plus I have to confidence to experiment with the design.

It's taken 3 years to get here, but it's been so worth the practice. I stitch while I listen to audio books, watch movies (no subtitles though!) or just sit peacefully. It keeps my hands busy without scrolling mindlessly through my phone. I am so proud of my improvement 😊

You can also learn to embroider and improve - much quicker than you think! Have a look at our full embroidery kits on our Etsy page (link in bio) and choose one for yourself. You can order there or DM us. Imagine being able to say, "I made it myself!"

A HOOP STAND? Someone pointed out we'd never actually shown our hoop stands! These are handmade with 15cm ringco hoops. Perfect for sewing on your lap or a table. Leaves your hands free for those tricky French knots! We have 3 available now and we'll have them at tomorrow! Only R300 for future sewing comfort!
