Sometimes we have a slow progress and other days fast. We celebrate each win, big or small.

Aniko is in need of a tumble dryer. Our previous one did a very good job until it just gave in (we think it is age). The weather is not helping at the moment...

When it is so cold, we spoil the residents with a nice hot cup of milo. Unfortunately we cannot spend time outside due to the bad weather. Instead we take the opportunity and learn life skills 😎

There will always be something you don't know since some technologies and techniques are always evolving. It is important for our residents to live comfortably and know that they are loved and belong.

SENSORY TACTILE ACTIVITIES

Did someone say red pasta?! 😲 This is amazing! This activity is well known in our home, because we try to teach all individuals how to overcome their sensitivity to touch. Baby steps. Consistency. Improve.

Individuals who experience touch sensitivity often say they are more bothered by things that touch their skin than others. Sensitivity may occur with food textures, clothing or fabric textures, self-care tasks, and receiving a hug or kiss.
