Who is Joseph Harawa?

Joseph was a Barista for Seattle Coffee in Milnerton close to where he resided in Joe Slovo. Within two years, he left his day job to grow his own business, jo_barista. Every product is filled with love, served with a humble smile alongside an honest conversation to all who cross our path, as we believe that we can inspire and nurture professional relationships with both our team members and customers alike.

Joseph was born in Livingstone, the northern region of Malawi, Africa close to Mzuzu, an area densely populated by coffee farms. During school holidays, Joseph used to spend his time on these coffee farms where he gained invaluable experience. After finishing his education, the decision was made to pursue his passion for the coffee bean. Joseph respects and supports the continuation of all coffee producers, by hand-selecting a variety of the highest quality green beans prior to roasting the beans locally at a temperature crafted by the master himself.
