Little Lambs Playgroup

We enjoyed a wonderful visit from the Bloubergstrand Librarian, on Thursday. She came to read to us and encourage us to join the library, where we can take out our own books. 🙂📚

We loved launching into space to learn all about rockets, astronauts and planets, in our Outer Space Theme. 🚀

We had such fun on Thursday dressing up as 'What I Want to be When I Grow Up' to end off our 'People Who Help Us in the Community' theme👮🧑‍🚒👷.

On Friday we had our annual Wheels Day, where everyone brings their bike or scooter to school, to end off our Transport Theme. It was such a fun morning. 🚗🚙🚖🛴🛹

Today we celebrated our 10th birthday, a whole two hands! 🙌🎉🎂🎊

Fifteen years ago, whilst living and teaching in the UK, God gave me the dream of opening up my own little school, when we returned to SA. We started in our newly renovated single garage with just 3 little kiddies, 10 years ago today. This space then grew as our class grew and we then added on another class. We have been blessed to stay open through Covid, where the little ones came to school in masks, we fogged our classrooms and vigorously sanatized little hands.

I have been so blessed to have taught 3 of my 4 kiddies and 3 of the staff members, both past and present's children.

Today we have 3 wonderful teachers, 2 amazing assistants and 2 classes. We are forever grateful for every little face who has come through our doors, their parents and my absolutely amazing staff, all by the grace of God🙏.

Here's to the next 10 years of loving, learning and laughing at the place we call our 2nd home, Little Lambs Playgroup. ❤️

The kids had such fun making sandwhiches for Mandela Day today.🍞 There was peanut butter everywhere but it was such a lovely activity to do on a cold, wet and rainy Cape Town Winters Day😊❄️☔.

Movies and popcorn to celebrate the end of a wonderful term. We reopen on Wednesday 3rd July. Happy Holidays everyone! 🎊❤️

We have loved learning about all the different creatures Under the Sea. We especially enjoyed having an Under The Sea Dance Party today with Teacher Kate. 🐋🐬🐠🐟

We can't believe that we are nearing the last day of Term 2, which is on Friday! Today we bought our favourite teddies to school for a Teddy Bears' Picnic, outside. 🐻

We've really enjoyed learning all about farm and wild animals over the last 3 weeks. Today we ended off our theme by having a 'safari' day. We loved dressing up as wild animals, making lion iced biscuits and having an animal treasure hunt. 🦁🦓🐅🐯

Last week Friday we were so thrilled to have our mommies join us at school for a belated Mother's Day Tea☕🧁. We were able to sing them some songs that we had learnt and enjoyed giving them our special crafts that we had made for them! 🌺

As we come to the close of another wonderful year at Little Lambs, we reflect on what a blessing it is to have taught all these amazing children this year! Today we celebrated with our Christmas party. We are now closing tomorrow for the holidays and will reopen again on 15th January 2024.

It has been a wonderful first week back and such a joy to see all our little friends again after the Winter Holidays❄️! Yesterday was a special day where we had such fun by giving ' 67 minutes' of our time for Mandela Day, by making sandwiches for our friends at another creche.🇿🇦.

As another wonderful term comes to a close, we reflect on our last few weeks of term. We ended the last week with some fun activities! We have been looking at Under The Sea over the past few weeks and the kids enjoyed a special 'Under the Sea Dance' workshop, with Teacher Kate🌊🐠🐬🐳🐙. We also celebrated Teacher Wanda's birthday and had movies and popcorn in our pajamas, for the last day of term.

We are now looking forward to Term 3 ,which will begin on Wednesday 13th July. Have a lovely rest everyone!
