An event that brings those with a common mindset for motorcycles, in particular American V-Twins, together for a simple day of riding, an night of great company, food, adult beverages and music under the darkest, star lit skies, deep in the country.

It never fails to amaze me how many still pass through this site. I have decided to address messages of late all in one post.
It would be around about now that planning for a future Harley Full Moon event would have to start. As I ponder on this, I cannot help but think it all feels a little last decade and the realisation sinks in that the last 'pre-covid' event was last decade!! In looking through the photos covering the last 10 years I reminisce on the times created and the hundreds of people that came to support each event down in the Karoo. Sadley, looking through the years, many have passed, riding the next dimension ahead of us, but they live on forever in the photographic memories documented here. The Karoo Saloon venue remains a 'legend of an institution' out on Route 62 and thankfully has re-opened recently. The decision to close down this event for good has been taken and in doing so we leave the memories of the last decade in the last decade. This site will remain for those that wish to revisit from time to time but will no longer be active.
As for the future?? I still chase my own brand of old-school road trip riding, out on the back roads and have plans to visit many old, in some cases, forgotten towns out there. Please visit Eleven Degrees of Freedom and just maybe a new idea 'Road Maps to Nowhere' is the type of old school riding that you are looking for.
Either way thanks to all that supported this event through the years, for all the grand memories and I'll catch you out there somewhere, sometime soon. Cheers
