Where in the world? The beautiful Cape Town!!!
Colour Your Passion ticket holders ... One of you will be winning a 1 night stay at the amazing Colosseum Luxury Hotel .
This is one of my favourite hotels ... From the staff, to the stunning rooms and definitely the Mozambik restaurant. I love the convenience of having a Woollies Food downstairs and being walking distance to Canal Walk. Mostly I love their beds and their bedding. It's soooo comfy and sleeping on those beds feels like a warm hug on a cold day.
I definitely don't speak about this hotel enough, the suites have beautiful lounges with mini fridge and microwave, which meant Woollies foods and I could enjoy each other properly. They also have the oval baths in the room, so relax, sip some wine, watch a movie, and forget that the outside world exists.
There are many reasons to go to this hotel, so if you are ever looking for a proper 4 star experience ... She is the one.
Anyway ... Someone at the event of Saturday will be walking away with this prize.
Watch the page a bit later, I think I have something we can throw out there for those not lucky enough to have tickets to the showl!!!

So last night my friend Leez Penniken from Jamali decided that she also needed to come freeze in CT. So whoever I choose to join us for lunch is lunching with both of us.
Lunch is only Sunday!
How majestic is this? No it's not Rome it's Cape Town and it's my weekend destination (even though it seems I am destined to experience rain all weekend).
This hotel is walking distance from Canal Walk and it's absolutely breathtaking. Colosseum Luxury Hotel

😍🥰
This is the lounge part of my room at the Colosseum Luxury Hotel. So firstly this hotel is so central. So don't tell Achmat but storytime. When I made date yesterday with sweet guy from Friday night, I assumed it's 30 min from everywhere. So that means I will be ready in 45 min since I am always late. Turns out it's 15 Min away from everything. For everyone else that's a good thing. I don't even wanna get better about punctuality neh, spare me the lecture.
Anyway back to the hotel. I have a R250 voucher for the peeps who like their page because we couldnt do lunch yesterday volgens rain.
So please like their page and come back and tell me where you wanna eat ... You can only win if you follow the page.

THIS IS MY STORY
My Name is Alexandre Mayeyet and this is my story…
I was a grass cutter in Brazzaville in the DRC, relying on government contracts to provide for my family and I. We would look after soccer fields, parks and government buildings. But the work was sporadic, then we had work, then we did not. My family heard via other families that South Africa was a country that offered opportunities for foreign nationals.
In 2010 they bought me a plane ticket and I was shipped off to Cape Town; they wanted a better life for me. But I arrived in Cape Town not knowing anyone; I managed to find a friend and he very quickly set me up with a job managing the shopping trolleys in Canal Walk for Game. I did this for three years while still trying to earn extra money doing gardening for a few regular customers when I was off duty.
My friend was working at the Colosseum Hotel and told me of a position as houseman at the hotel. I was thrilled when they accepted me as this meant a better position for me. I love working at the hotel and especially love it when I can help French guests with translations and general assistance.
I am not married but have a 11 year old daughter who I support financially. In my free time I love watching soccer, my favourite teams are Manchester City and Germany.
Some say I am a bit of a joker, always happy, always smiling. My motto is when stressed, or cold, have coffee – it will always make you feel better.
To all the amazing, hardworking, and dedicated fathers and father figures out there.
Happy Father’s Day!

🎉 We have a winner! 🎊
Congratulations Letitia Hall
You've won a night at Colosseum Hotel for your amazing mom!
We were overwhelmed with love reading through all your heartfelt entries, celebrating the incredible mothers in your lives. Your stories touched our hearts! ❤️
My name is Juliet Mateyise and this is my story. I was born in a small dusty village in the Eastern Cape just outside King Williams Town. It was a happy carefree childhood; my three siblings and I loved playing together and especially attending school. But our lives changed when my father passed away. I was taken in by my older brother who lived in Khayelitsha. This was a huge adjustment for me, but against all odds I continued to thrive at school. We went on many school career days, but it was my passion for maths and science that made me want to study mechanical engineering. But alas, my dreams would not be realised as we just did not have the funds for studies, I was forced to find a job so that I could contribute towards the household bills. Added to this was that in so many African families at the time, studies was only for boys!
My first job was a teacher at the Edu Care Creche where I looked after small children. I then found a position at the Killarney Hotel in Koeberg road as a cleaner in the kitchen. Here I was taught to make salads, coffee and assist on the grill. I would even stand in as relief chef when one of the other staff was off. I was given the opportunity to study cooking and catering at Northlink College.
I then moved to a fast-food restaurant called Church's Chicken. Sadly the restaurant did not survive, and I found myself unemployed.
In 2007 I joined the Colosseum Hotel as breakfast chef. I loved working at the beautiful hotel and again decided to further my studies by doing a basic computer course. However, because of COVID we were all made redundant and once again found me unemployed.
When the hotel reopened, I applied for a position as room attendant, a position I still hold today. It is hard work but I pride myself that I clean rooms giving guests a great experience. My three children are my everything; I may not always have all the opportunities, but I want my kids to excel at school and further their education – education is everything to me.
In my free time I love reading Xhosa novels and crochet the odd hat or scarf for family and friends.
