On Saturday we participated in Culture Connect SA’s wonderful tour with Clare Burgess. Her knowledge on trees and design in the Company’s Garden was very insightful and inspirational. 🌲🌳🪵

A coffee shop in Kent, UK. has made the brave decision to only serve customers who bring their own cup to the store, and to illustrate why they are doing this they filled their store floor with disposable cups.
Otto's Coffee House & Kitchen hopes its new policy will inspire other coffee shops to follow suit around the world.

What an honor to be part of this event: The Commonwealth War Grave Commission had their Sod-turning event at our space.
The new memorial is currently being built at the top part of the Company’s Garden. The memorial is to honor our black soldiers that gave their lives in the First World war - they were never commemorated.
We all went afterwards for a walk to turn the first sod done by our Mayor Gordon Hill-Lewis. We walked back through the vegetable garden.
