Our latest newsletter has just gone out -- in case you missed it or haven't subscribed yet, we featured sock knitting...If you haven't knitted socks before, it's easier than it looks!

PATTERN: The socks pictured were knitted using the "Vanilla Toe Up Socks" by , with a "Fish Lips Kiss Heel" by Sox Therapist (available on Ravelry) which are Gina's absolute favorite heel to knit and to wear!

YARN: These socks feature 100% merino yarn dyed by Gina's daughter as a birthday gift. We have plenty of very pretty commercial and hand-dyed sock yarns in stock, with or without nylon... https://naturalyarns.co.za/product-category/yarn/yarn-weight/fingering-4-ply/

NEEDLES: It is always a good idea to have dedicated sock knitting needles: Whether you love knitting in the round on double pointed needles, magic loop or on a short fixed circular, we have you covered between our ChiaoGoo and Addi ranges.

BIND OFF: A great go-to bind-off is the "sewn bind-off" which is lovely and stretchy: Measure 3x the length of the bind-off circumference before cutting the working yarn and threading it onto a darning needle. Working in the same direction as if to continue knitting and keeping the tension (Thread the needle through the first 2 stitches and pull through then back through the first stitch before popping this stitch off the needle)*repeat to the end.

We have such exciting news! Natural Yarns launched a brand new yarn at the Cape Town Yarn Festival last month!

Coast is a beautifully crisp 2-ply yarn – 55% Merino Lambswool and 45% Cotton - perfect for our South African climate and suiteable for new borns, those with sensitive skin, and anyone who enjoys a soft, versatile yarn!

This exceptional lace weight yarn has approximately 350 meters per 50 grams. It is gorgeous worked as is, held double...and is absolutely beautiful held with Kidsilk Lace yarn!
