Highlanders Maine C**n Cattery has been so lucky and fortunate that Americanlynx Maine C**n Cattery and Melluandia PL Maine C**n Cattery trusted us with their offspring who arrived from Europe, healthy, genetically tested and with a wonderful temperament, a bonus when choosing a stud boy.
Valentina & Ewa I thank you for these amazing boys who are an absolute delight and have been a great addition to our cattery here in South Africa.
Our foundation cats, Well Done aka Mac, Xio Mara and DC from Justcoons was the beginning of our cattery and we've not looked back ! And let's not forget the awesome Justcoons Fastpaw aka Shrek and the amazing stud boy Justcoons NaNu, who produced the biggest Maine C**n litter to date in SA.
We cannot go without mentioning the stunning Tuxie boy, the most laid back Maine C**n stud boy on show, who with DC produced our signature look, Highlanders Mary Queen of Scots.
Shangri-la added to our cattery, the beautiful Jeanie Jean Jean who produced with Shrek one of the biggest boys out there, Highlanders Single Malt.
We've met wonderful breeders who have become friends and who share the same commitment to the ethical breeding of Maine C**ns. The South African Ethical Breeders Group include a range of practices and standards, these encompass respecting each other and honoring agreements, health testing for genetic concerns in Maine C**ns, and ensuring our cats meet the breed standard through participation in shows.
Looking forward to many more years enjoying this hobby with good friends and of course our "wine tasting lunches" get togethers to share our love of Maine C**ns and South African food and wine.
