Fresh Pasta … one of the most wonderful contributions of Italian cuisine is fresh pasta. Fresh pasta is one of the things that makes Italian cuisine unique. Takes work and time but when we see and hear the delight of our customers it makes it all worth it !!!

Carciofi a la Tarantino !!! We have received fresh 0 kilometer artichokes from one of the farms we work with. A delicious starter and a great way to begin your Osteria Tarantino dining experience 🥂

When it’s cold outside…it’s warm inside !!!

Our regulars are well aware of our fabulous fireplace keeping all inside nice and warm. Be it a fresh pasta dish or a risotto paired with a red wine will definitely help beat the cold 🍝🍷

Farfalle…which means butterflies in Italian, is a pasta shape as fun as its name.

This pasta goes really well with creamy sauces to catching the chunky ingredients of a ragout especially when its al dente.

It originates from the Lombardy and Emilia Romagna regions where it was first recorded in the 16th century. Apparently it was invented by housewives simply using up left over pasta dough.

Prosciutto di Parma…We find it totally irresistible !

The star of our antipasti dishes we roll slices of it around stracciatella of mozzarella and fresh rocket when making our Tuscan Cigars…which we dress with balsamic glaze. A great way to start an evening when visiting us. 🍷
