NORINEM
Just as the mongoose protected the child, may our families be protected by the Almighty. Food is closely linked to our festivals, and eating those same traditional foods gives us a sense of nostalgia. On today’s auspicious prayers, the customary meal is vaadu and rotla – a lightly spiced sprouted lentil dish served with wholewheat roti’s.
Wishing much happiness to all devotees celebrating Norinem today. To learn more about our amazing festivals, order your copy of the Modern Hindu Lifestyle Journal from our e-store. Click on the link below, and add to cart now!

Sunday chats....
Hello Friends! We’ve had so many new followers in the past few weeks, so I wanted to personally welcome you. My journey to connecting with my religion started when I became a mum. I needed to understand the significance behind the rituals we were performing, and I needed to understand Hinduism in order to pass the teachings onto my children.
But I was working and living in a world that didn’t understand Hinduism, and I needed to be able to combine and move between the worlds I inhabited without losing myself. And that’s how the Modern Hindu Lifestyle was born. A little seed germinated in my head, and I decided to share this concept with other Hindus who may be struggling with the same disconnection I felt.
So whether it’s how to organise your home and kitchen Hindu-style, how to perform a simple home havan, the significance behind our various North and South – Indian festivals or Ayurvedic self-care, the Modern Hindu Lifestyle Journal has all the tips and tricks you could need. With prayer season coming up, now is the ideal time to order your copy from our e-store, click on the link in our bio.
