Important Announcement: Sports Day Postponement

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Due to the predicted inclement weather on Friday, 6th September 2024, we have decided to postpone our Sports Day to Friday, 13th September 2024. A letter with all the details will be sent home via your child's homework book.

Please note that Friday will be a regular school day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

Our Grade 7 learners were treated to an incredible science show, filled with fascinating demonstrations that sparked their curiosity and enthusiasm for the wonders of science! 🧪🔬

We were honored to have expert staff from UKZN lead these captivating sessions. A big thank you to Prof Michelle Gordon, Dr René Khan, Dr Hezekiel Kumalo, Dr Vino Dorsamy, Dr Terisha Ghazi, Mr Dennis Makhubela, and Mr Fave Tata for their time and dedication. Your expertise and passion have inspired our learners, igniting a newfound interest in the world of science! 🙌✨

🌟 What a monumental year for our rugby program! 🌟

This year, our team embarked on a memorable journey to the U13 Rugby Festival at Glenwood High, creating memories and experiences that will last a lifetime. Throughout the season the boys competed in various tournaments and gained invaluable exposure. Our season culminated in an inspiring win against Brighton Beach Senior Primary at our Annual Winter Fun Sports Day, a testament to our players and coaches' hard work and dedication.

We owe a huge part of our success to the unwavering support of Rison Financialist. Through the years, your generosity has been a cornerstone of our program, from sponsoring our brand-new scoreboard to providing our team with new rugby tog bags and equipment. Your support has made a tangible difference in our players' lives and in the growth of our program.

Dear community members.

We are embarking on a Grade R Resource Drive, which we would like you all to be a part of. Fynnland Primary will be opening our very first Grade R class in the new year. We are excited to inform you that the building for the grade R class is now completed.

We are appealing to all community members to please support us in our Grade R Resource Drive. The Drive begins on the 5th of August and will end on the 13th of September.

Resources that are needed/required for our grade R class:
Pre loved /new
 Teddy bears
 Wooden puzzles
 Story books
 Character Costumes/hats /costume jewellery for our dress up corner
 Toys
 Wool
 Baskets
 Plastic bucket and spade sets.
 Shelves
 Mural Artist to volunteer their services (Due recognition and credit will be given to the artist)

We would be most appreciative for any pre loved or new items that you can donate. Sponsorships are also welcomed.

Fynnland are Olympiad stars🌟!
Learners from Fynnland Primary participated across various Olympiad’s. We are delighted to announce that our learners performed extremely well at the district level.

Congratulations to Karis Madamu and Keelan Knock who progressed to the next round of the Natural Science Olympiad

Congratulations to Eaden Roskruge and Elihle Mcwbe who progressed to the next round of the LO Olympiad. Elihle placed first from all the competing schools , she achieved 90%

Congratulations to Zanda Mdlala who progressed to the next round of the EMS Olympiad. Zanda placed first from all the competing schools , she achieved 100% !

🎉🏆 A huge congratulations to our incredible speech and drama learners! On July 12th, they took the stage for the very first time at a Schools Arts and Talent Festival held at the Playhouse in Durban. Against fierce competition, they delivered a stellar performance and secured an impressive 3rd place! 🌟👏

Today was Pyjama Day at Fynnland Primary School, and it was a blast! 🎉 Students and teachers alike enjoyed a cozy and fun-filled day dressed in their favorite pajamas. 🛌 The school was buzzing with excitement as everyone participated in activities, shared stories, and celebrated the spirit of community and comfort. 😊 It was a perfect way to bring a little extra joy to our school week! 🌟

Croxly Stationery visited Fynnland Primary School today, treating our teachers to a fantastic presentation of their latest stationery items. Each teacher walked away with a lovely mug and some delicious baked goods. To top it off, some of our lucky teachers participated in a fun quiz and won much-needed stationery items.
