Good Tip!
This Top Tip Tuesday deals with one of our frequently asked questions - DO I NEED A PLUMBING CERTIFICATE TO PASS TRANSFER?
Did you know? Ants don't have lungs! 🫁🐜
Due to their diminutive size, ants lack the space for a complex respiratory system like to ours. Instead, they've evolved ingenious methods for oxygen transport throughout their bodies.
At PES Africa, we appreciate the fascinating intricacies of these tiny creatures. We're also proud to offer a range of excellent ant control products that can help you manage and prevent ant invasions effectively.

Do Carpenter Ants eat Wood? No
Carpenter Ants don’t eat wood, instead they push bits of sawdust called frass out the tunnels they create.
Carpenter ants don't feed on wood. They create galleries in wood to establish their nests. Termites will feed until they get every bit that can be consumed in the safety of darkness. This makes them more destructive than carpenter ants. But that doesn't mean carpenter ants aren't destructive. As a colony matures and replicates itself, there is more need for them to create more room for the growing colony inside the wood of your home. This will lead carpenter ants to expand their tunneling, even into sound wood. Over time, this can weaken structural timbers and cause cascading damage which is hard to repair.

Listen to what respected members of the South African Pest Control Association have to say about the use of fumigants. This is a hot topic in Durban after the tragic loss of life of a Musgrave couple where the wrong application of a fumigant had dire consequences!
What to know before fumigating your property Stacey and J Sbu have an exclusive chat with SAPCA. They shed some light on what their organisation entails and what to know before fumigating your property. Listen to hear more:

Selling 2 Purebred Hillcrest Cockroaches, very regretful sale 😔 I’m moving and unfortunately they don’t accept cockroaches. Bob and Hobo, these two have been house trained and are great with children. They come with jackets and toilet paper beds, only asking for R150 each, they can only go together to a good home as they are inseparable. Micro chipped and had their shots.
Please like our group with a positive note of your experience with us!

Bee the change!
People may find this a pointless post, but ALL of our bees are in decline and during the day they need to drink. Please put a "bee bar" out for them daily in your gardens, just to keep them hydrated. A small tub with some stones in is perfect and they will appreciate your help by doing this. Some of my visiting honey bees enjoying a well earned drink - - Lisa Jayne Burton

Restrictions of Use: This process is not to be mixed with other chemicals. Must be used on thoroughly precleaned and rinsed surfaces. Nb: this process should be used in conjunction with a though surface deep clean and clean rinsing of the area first before fog treatment begins.
Serviced areas: We offer this treatment using an Antimicrobial fogging process in accordance with the manufacture’s recommendation. This measure will cover the entire areas using a cold fog process. This eliminates all microbial germs and viruses on high and low surfaces throughout the entire space under treatment.
