Tiger Canyon Private Game Reserve
We have just returned from yet another very successful safari from the magical Tiger Canyon with extremely happy guests.
During our safari we experienced incredibly unique sightings from playing tigers, tigers in stalking mode and beautiful Cheetahs with their baby cubs.
It is really a huge privilege to see these cubbies grow and to photograph them in their happy space playing with mom and each other.
What makes this destination so unique and so special is the perfect clean backgrounds, the golden light and our photographical assistance and guidance to capture these once in a life time images.

THIS IS TOTALY DISGUSTING !!! - Botswana Leopard Hunting !!!
Botswana leopard hunting season is in full swing with many strong males in their prime being baited and shot to make already rich people richer.
They will tell us this is an old male, too old to breed 🙈 but then again when you spend your time only shooting animals and not observing them you dont know how to age them...
There are 70 leopards up for hunt this season. No science used to determine quotas and of the 70 being shot, they will mostly be shot in areas with relatively low leopard densities like adjacent to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Conservation area bordering South Africa.
They will call this conservation and talk about uplifting communities but I'm willing to bet not even $1000 reaches the ground here? The Botswana hunting model remains an elitist activity and one that really needs to start fulfilling its promises of uplifting communities and conservation in the area.

After a very successful safari to Tiger Canyon we would like to share some memories.
We had very special and unique sightings with golden light - the perfect combination for excellent photography.
The hospitality and friendliness of the lodge's staff was the cherry on top of the cake !
From Amarula Hot Chocolate upon arrival at the loge after a game drive, to delicious breakfasts and decadent mouth watering South African inspired cuisine at night.
One of our UK guests celebrated his birthday and was surprised with cupcakes and champagne during an afternoon game drive. Thank you for making his day special !!!
And to our guests thank you very much for supporting Wildpix Africa. We hope to see you soon and looking forward to see your amazing Tiger Canyon images !!!
