Our Story
Appelography Wedding Lifestyle & Family Photography was started by South African-based photographer, Nadia Appel.
I am a coffee lover. My passion for photography started in High School; I loved capturing moments that I can relive a year later and have the memories to look back in time. I love traveling and being able to capture every moment that I get to experience, whether its with people or animals.
Now I get to capture those memories for other people. I am a very chilled and laid back photographer I hate being rushed so I will never be the person to rush you when capturing your memories. However I do try and help you to stay on schedule.
I have a documentary approach when it comes to photography. I like those unexpected and unposed moments throughout the day. No awkwardness, no forced posing. Just your personal, beautiful love story told in an elegant, true and fun way.
Make no compromises when it comes to your memories; your love story deserves to be told the right way. My goal is to create photos that truly depict who you are and how you love so anyone who looks at your photos feels your energy, your mood and personality pouring out of each image.
I become your friend, your sounding board, your own personal hype woman. I’ll make you laugh if you need to laugh, I’ll calm your fears if you’re anxious and I have pretty much any answer to any question that you can think up.
Next thing you know− you’ve completely forgotten about the camera and you are yourself entirely. That’s what my photography is all about; helping you relax and have a good time while I photograph; that is a big part of my job!
Before the session takes place we will discuss your preferences and needs in terms of photographs, to make sure I can serve you to my best ability. I’ll answer all your questions and make recommendations based on your unique event.
Established in 2010, Appelography Wedding Lifestyle & Family Photography has been trusted by hundreds of families between the United States and South Africa to capture their lifestyle; maternity; newborn; family and wedding portraits.
