Full Moon setting over a pretty Hillbrow skyline, with the birdies making an appearance. Photo taken from Linksfield Ridge on a chilly Sunday morning.

The moon first made an appearance on the Hillbrow skyline at 17h49 on Saturday, from my Northcliff vantage point close to the Northcliff Water Tower. This photo was a taken 20 minutes later, on my drive home, from John Adamson Drive in Montgomery Park. Hillbrow Tower back in full disco mode.

An interesting Full Moon tonight as it reached its most southerly declination, in line with the winter solstice, which only happens every 18 years or so, putting Ponte to the left of the Hillbrow Tower in relation to the rising moon. It's normally the other way round. Photographed from Rockey Drive in Nortchcliff.
