Vandag was dit 6 ure vir ons in die kombuis. Ons het begin met pannekoek vir ontbyt. Toe loadshedding kom, toe doen ons n paar taste testings. Alles van chillies tot peanutbutter en stroop!. Vir middagete was daar lekker pizza. Die kiddies het lekker hard gewerk vandag, maar is beloon met n koek wat hulle self gemaak en versier het.( Leon het gesien ons drown in skottegoed, toe spring hy maar in xx)

Shenanigans at Bacon and Egg today....

We had a total blast today in the kitchen. We ended our breakfast chapter with an omelet. Practiced how to poach an egg.
Got our certificates, and still had time to laugh and play outside!!Thanks Mommies, I do enjoy the little smiles and giggles a great deal

What is happening this week? We are closing the door on eggs and breakfasts, and slowly moving into the next chapter. Snacks!!!
Starting with bread. Two weeks of theory and then back to the kitchen. Anything bread, from sandwiches to pudding. This will be a great tasting chapter.

Hierdie week op die spyskaart!

We had a taste testing during loadshedding, and the curse of the flapjack struck again...
but it was so much fun!!

Ons beoogde plaatkoekies het uitgedraai om n kruising tussen n plaatkoekie en pannekoek te wees!!🤣
Almal het darm gedink dit proe lekker.( mammas, ons kan ook skottelgoed was)

Our big kid's turn today!!

Vandag: Spek en roer eiers met toast.( met of sonder kaas) Elkeen het alles self gedoen! Vandag het ons ook geleer om n broodjie botter te smeer. Ons het n bottermes by ons kombuis versameling gevoeg.

Geproe,gechop,gesny, geskil en getraan!! Alles vir n goeie doel!!

First of all, thanks Tannie Corna for our chef's caps! They fit perfectly.
This week: Jelly tasting. We started to learn about different cuts. Used our peeler and knife. ( with minimum blood loss)Peeling potatoes and cutting them into chips. Chopping fruits and making a fruit salad!!

Dit was baie lekker!
Ons hoedjies het gekom. Dankie tannie Corna!...en ja, hulle stem ook saam, bitter bly maar bitter sleg. Ons het lekker gelag.

1x dishcloth
1x knife
1x peeler
And the tray to keep everything together.
Every month, we will add an item that they will be using that spesific month, in the preparation of their dishes. This month its peeling and chopping!!
