The Western Cape Minister of Education, David Maynier, has confirmed that schools in the Overberg and Cape Winelands districts will remain closed on Tuesday, 9 April 2024 due to updated weather predictions from the South African Weather Service who have indicated a continued risk in these areas.

All schools are scheduled to reopen on 10 April 2024.
