We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic on-site Medical Scheme Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma or NQF 5 Qualification (further studies are advantageous) and must be FAIS Compliant with RE completed.

Responsibilities & Requirements:
•Interact in professional manner with all clients (internal and external) in respect of new applications and amendments
•Updating databases / data capturing, i.e.
•Answers customer inquiries and questions regarding medical scheme products, services and option changes
•Responds to the regular and routine customer inquiries regarding claims, products and services of medical Council for Medical Schemes
•General frontline support, i.e. assisting walk-in clients with queries
•Arrange logistical requirements and assist with co-ordination of site visits
•Assistance with visits to clients on request
•Attend Healthcare committee meetings when required and do minute taking, typing and distribution of agendas and minutes
•Assist with planning of year end revision sessions as well as training as and when required
•Photocopying and scanning of documentation
•Sending and receiving of faxes
•Perform internet search to access relevant information
•Assist with billings & billing information
•Assistance in administrative back-end related support services

Electric vehicle (EV) sales globally are forecast to grow 30% per year. Close to 14 million EVs were sold globally in 2023, up 35% year-on-year and accounting for 18% of all car sales. The International Energy Agency (IEA) expects EV sales to grow at an average ~30% annually from 2022-30.

Herman Klopper, the founder and long-standing CEO of the FFG Group, will assume the position of Chairman of The FFG Group of Companies. Having been involved since the company’s inception in Potchefstroom over 25 years ago, Herman will continue in his role providing strategic direction across all Group enterprises while exploring various opportunities and new ventures we continue to pursue.

His primary responsibilities will include overseeing his significant portfolio of Wealth clients, catalyzing the ongoing growth of our Mauritius-based operations, and leading the FFG Board of Directors. For the time being, Herman will be working from our FFG Western Cape branch in Paarl, while continuing to travel frequently between our various business operations in South Africa and internationally.

Paul Kempff, who has served as our Group Managing Director for the past nine years, will succeed Herman Klopper as CEO of the FFG Group of Companies. Paul has been a valuable member of our team since 2005 and will be responsible for guiding the subsidiary and business unit leaders within the organization. He will provide strategic leadership and manage key relationships with clients and stakeholders. Additionally, Paul will also retain his position as Managing Director of The People Company, our Employee Benefits and Healthcare subsidiary. He will primarily be based at our FFG Gauteng Branch in Pretoria.

On March 1, 2024, Du Preez Grobler, who was previously the Managing Director of FFG Western Cape, was appointed as a joint Managing Director of The FFG Group of Companies. Starting September 1, 2024, Du Preez will assume this role on his own, overseeing operational leadership across The Group while maintaining his position as Managing Director of FFG Western Cape. Since joining FFG in 2015, Du Preez has been based at our FFG Western Cape branch in Paarl.
We are excited about the future of The FFG Group of Companies under the guidance of our Executive Team and look forward to Paul and Du Preez continuing to build on the legacy that Herman has created over the last 3 decades.
