Our minds are like flames, not containers. When you kindle a fire, it burns brighter and hotter when fuelled with interest and passion. In the same way, our minds become more vibrant and productive when we approach learning with a sense of wonder and eagerness. Learning is a lifelong process that leads to personal growth and the mind can be continually nurtured and expanded. The mind should be discerning and selective about what it consumes. Just as a fire consumes what is added to it, the mind should critically evaluate and filter information rather than passively accepting everything. We must spark curiosity and ignite the flames of learning within to truly understand the world. 🔥🧠 🌳
MindfulReflection
How often do you look at things but not really see them? It's natural for us to not notice everything because there's too much to process, which can be overwhelming for our brains. But when we take the time to intentionally look at things, we begin to truly see them.
This is similar in how we think. We can often times take the first thing that comes to mind as fact, which is usually negative. This could be informed by either our past experiences, influences or preconceived ideas that we have about the world and those around us. It's all about perspective. Your perspective is your choice. We choose to either see the glass half full or half empty. When we begin to open up our minds to different possibilities, we allow ourselves to evolve.

Self-awareness can be defined as the ability to tune into your feelings, thoughts and actions. Being self-aware helps us understand ourselves better. It is a powerful tool because the more self-aware we are, we are able to deal with stress, fears, negative perceptions, behaviours, addictions and other obstacles in a constructive way. We can't fix what we don't know.
Psychotherapy and Life-coaching can be a good space to increase your self-awareness. Contact us to book your session.
How are you feeling today? What are your thoughts? What are the sensations in your body? What can you see and hear around you?
What do you notice after becoming aware of the above?

"There are three things you can control every day. Your attitude, your effort and your actions." Jon Gordon
We can often be overwhelmed by the things that are going on around us. It is important to learn to accept what is before we can attempt to change anything. Focusing on what you can control allows you to deal with what you need to and eventually make progress.
The deep-rooted feelings and beliefs that we are not aware of are most times than not directing the paths that we take in life. We are not always aware of how much we attract into our lives through the wounds our experiences have left us with. We often think that things are happening to us, however, we are usually the main attractors and the cause.
By starting our journey of healing and therefore making the unconscious conscious, we empower ourselves to take charge of our lives directly. We become empowered to change what we can and also let go and accept what we cannot change.
