"After such a wonderful experience at the EnactusZA National Competition 2019, we are filled with nothing but honor to be part of something that is greater than ourselves. Seeing the impact that students can bring into people's lives is breathtaking. I am proud of the wonderful work that my team put in throughout this term to change lives. Placing 2nd out of the 16 teams that participated is evidence of the level of dedication that the team has in bringing change.
May we all continue inspiring change in all our communities around South Africa. May we all know and understand that if positive entrepreneurial impact continues.

A review of Nationals 2018 from the president

Firstly I would like to thank Enactus ZA for allowing us to participate in this competition and bringing together all of the Enactus chapters for us to interact and meet each other.

I would like to especially thank all of the members of Enactus UP that during this year, sacrificed their time for this programme. Your efforts and hard work are recognised. Thank you guys for coming to Nationals Prep, everyday and working towards what ended up being an amazing presentation and it is something that years from now, you will look back at and be proud of.

Thank you to our Faculty Advisor, Dr Rina Wilken, your energy and passion for all things Enactus UP, energised us to want to do more. You assisted in everything and your ideas for the programme allowed us to go far this year.

Thank you to our BAB and alumni for the continued support. It was highly appreciated that we could run to you for advice and guidance. Our success is also your success.

Placing 2nd at the National Competition was not heartbreaking, neither was it disappointing because when you create a vision for the year and winning Nationals isn't the goal, you have no expectations. Getting that far, was by far the greatest moment of this year because it reflected that the hard work we put in for our beneficiaries and the sacrifices we made to ensure that we wouldn't let them down, meant more than what we thought. We have now managed to put our beneficiaries on the world radar and who knows, we might just be getting calls that could change their lives even more. That opportunity to have this, is mind blowing.

I am beaming with pride because the 2017/2018 team gave their best, their absolute best. It is the ultimate form of success to reach a place where no one is saying "we could have done so much more" because since the beginning they had been putting their best foot forward and now going forward we now expand on it and grow to greater heights.

A huge congratulations to Enactus Durban University of Technology. Represent us well in USA and all the best with your preparations for it.
