🥳We are proud to welcome our students selected by the Chinese International Exchange Programme to study for a degree in Mechatronics at the Nanjing Vocational University of Industry Technology in China.
🤝Thanks to our partnership with the Chinese Culture Centre, our students now have the opportunity to enhance their education with practical and theoretical knowledge gained from their studies abroad.
✈️Upon arrival, the students were excited to see the TNC family at the airport. Mr Pfano Mukambago and Ms Olivia Mmotlana studied Electrical Engineering at Tshwane North TVET College.
"The food in China is different compared to South Africa, however, we had to adapt to the different taste buds", said Pfano and Olivia.
"I also observed the consistent precautionary measures and affordable food", expressed Pfano.
👩💻The National Certificate Vocational (NCV) IT students are set to receive a 10-day intensive training in Coding & Robotics.
😀Today, Tshwane North TVET College Mamelodi Campus hosted a significant event featuring the Department of Science and Innovation in collaboration with the Department of Basic Education, UN WomenSA, DHET and Siemens. This event marked the launch of the African Girls Can Code Initiative (AGCCI), an endeavour focused on training and empowering young girls to become adept computer programmers, creators, and designers.
👌In her opening remarks, the Principal of Tshwane North TVET College, Thembi Tsibogo warmly welcomed the excited students from TNC Mamelodi Campus and the attending guests.
"The purpose of this training is to ensure TNC students are empowered, have income security, and become experts in coding and robotics," she emphasized.
She highlighted that this opportunity would enable students to adapt to emerging innovations, preparing them for future challenges and advancements in the tech industry.
TNC exhibited at the third Annual Youth Day Event hosted by BMW Group South Africa at Lethabong School of Specialisation in Soshanguve a school adopted by BMW. The event was also attended by Soshanguve Technical High School. An extensive lineup of engaging activities, including expo designed to inform and guide learners through the university, college, and bursary application process.
The purpose of this initiative is to empower the youth of today, to become responsible corporate citizen

TNC in partnership with the City of Tshwane | Official (Page) (CoT) planted 200 fruit trees at the Temba Campus - Haakdoorn Farm. The trees were donated by CoT as we were commemorating WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY- under the Theme: Land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience".
The NCV Primary Agriculture students from Temba Campus did the planting Led by GDF- Bhuti Green.
Our keynote address was done by Cllr. Ziyanda Zwane Environment and Agriculture Management Department as Mr Masithi- Acting DP Academic affairs gave words of support.

In her closing remarks, Principal Thembi Tsibogo of Tshwane North TVET expressed that emerging skills for 4IR are important concepts for the TVET sector. She highlighted that these skills are crucial for adapting to the evolving technological landscape.
Additionally, she urged students to take on the role of ambassadors for the college, promoting its values and reputation in the broader community.

It has come to our attention that there has been a spike in the number of cases of students on campuses presenting with flu-like symptoms.
Because of the nature of airborne viruses such as influenza, swine flu and Covid 19 among others, infections spread rapidly from student to student, who are in close proximation to one another. Higher Health compiled a circular in collaboration with the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD), which aims to provide some basic information about the current spike in infections in an effort to minimise panic among staff and students, and to try to manage conditions within institutions.
Tshwane North TVET College exhibits at the Disability Conference and Career Expo at Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg hosted by Disability Connect.
The career expo aim is to provides employment opportunities to learners, graduates, and unemployed individuals living with disabilities. At the conference, corporates and thought leaders shared best practice employment strategies and tools for diversity and inclusion related to employees with disabilities. TNC learner from Soshanguve South who is blind wowed the crowd with her performance on stage as a gospel singer.
Parliament portfolio committee on Higher Education Science and Technology in partnership with LGSETA, Higher Health, IEC, Tshwane South TVET College and Tshwane North TVET College hosted a Voter Education Dialogue at TNC-Pretoria Campus for students of TSC and TNC. 💻Registration System: MIS Official, Ms Vilakazi, a TNC Sosha Campus Alumnu has mentioned that there's an influx of applications that crash the system, however, a new Advanced application system is coming up.
👩🎓"We want to be an institution of 1st choice, not 2nd choice", said Assistant Director: Registry, Ms Nxumalo.
NCV IT STUDENTS ❗️ Our partner, Cisco representative, Ms N Stuurman (Business Development Manager) mentioned that 96% of Students who complete Cisco certifications courses have higher chances of employment.

Tshwane North TVET College in partnership with the Speaker of the City of Tshwane Cllr Ndzwanana, TNC DP's Ms. Kosani and Mr Lebese accompanied by Partnership & Linkages Manager, Mr Dladla at the official handover of 31 computers and 34 office chairs donated to Winterveldt high school.
The collaborative effort between district education officials, subject advisors, teachers, and school leadership is truly commendable. It underscores the shared commitment of all stakeholders to prioritize education and create an environment where students can thrive.

2024 TVETs CATCH UP PAYMENT
Circular Notice NO.07 of 2024, is to advice all TVET colleges about the catch up payment date for student who’s valid registration data was uploaded on the NSFAS portal by 11 April 2024 is paid up to May 2024.

All other new students that are not funded by NSFAS will continue to pay the non-refundable application / administration fee of R 200,00
NSFAS students who had already paid the R 200,00 application / administration fee the College will refund the
R 200,00 after enrolments are finalised (the window period for claiming the refunds will only be open until 28 February 2018)
