Did you know in terms of the JBCC PBA 6.2, adverse weather conditions encompassing not just rain but also extreme temperature, strong winds, hailstorms, and other intemperate weather that could inhibit progress towards practical completion, can entitle a contractor to a revision of the practical completion date without adjusting the contract value, provided they can demonstrate that all reasonable steps were taken to avoid or reduce the delay.

Did you know that although the FIDIC Suite of Agreements does not explicitly state when a year-end break occurs, it does recognize rest days in line with Sub-clause 6.5, which states that no work shall be done on the site during this time. Additionally, the contract offers the contractor the option to include a year-end break in the contract data at their discretion.
