Our management team recently visited schools and SANTS teachers in KwaZulu-Natal, and we couldn’t be more proud of the positive impact our teachers are making in the classrooms. It was inspiring to see their dedication to shaping the future.

A special moment from the visit: Our Managing Director, Mr Ryan O’Mahoney had the privilege of assisting a Grade R teacher, who complete her Diploma at Lyceum, to apply for the Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching at SANTS! 🎓

It was an honour to connect with the educators and learners, witnessing first-hand the difference our teachers are making.

Just a few hours to go and our next group of Graduates will take the stage. We could not be more excited for them!

They say it takes a village to raise a child, but at New Hope School / Nuwe Hoop Skool, situated in Pretoria, it takes a village to teach and assist learners who experience barriers to learning to reach their full potential.

Sparkle@SANTS decided not only to focus on teachers for Teachers’ day, but to celebrate all staff members - teachers, learner assistants, general assistants, therapist, and administration staff.

All staff members valued the treat and expressed their gratitude. They said it was much needed at this time of the year where everyone is feeling tired. One person commented, “You are not SANTS ;you are SAINTS”. This comment shows that it is the small gestures that makes a difference.

World Teachers’ Day is held annually on 5 October to celebrate teachers. According to UNESCO (2024) Teacher’s day, is a day to recognise how teachers are transforming and impacting education. Teachers are not just educators; they, fulfil various roles such as mentors, counsellors, assessors, and facilitators, to name a few. Teachers’ day is a time to appreciate the vital role that teachers play in our lives.

At SANTS, we are proud to celebrate all the heroes in education who dedicate themselves to shaping the future, one learner at a time. Happy World Teachers' Day!
