The Old Otter getting dismantled, all i require from her is the precise measurements. So when i am able to finance the manufacturing of the first IKE-1, then Ive been told all i need send to the production company is the old pontoon as a template along with the placing of the fixtures. All has been completed, now just the funds.

Just a quick update.
Ok the Plandemic has set me back a little.
BUT: i did get a small investment. With it i have Registered the Company Name; Extreme River Adventure Craft, the Trading name ; ERA Inflatables, and the Co LOGO. The overall design of the IKE1 and the individual design of the bailing system are PATENT PENDING, So nobody can steal and copy my craft designs to follow either.
Now to raise the next level of funding, then move forward.

Business History:
Introduced to the industry of White Water paddling in 1992, with my 1st open inflatable canoe. Together with a friend went to the Zambezi festival in 1994 to compete and finished in 3rd place in our Inflatable canoe, over 14km in a field of 26 craft on the Zambezi River through the national Park.
Went on to start Paddle Power CC in 1996, then Pioneered the Highveld Croc River as the 1st resident commercial rafting company. Attended the Camel world rafting festival at Augrabies falls as a safety officer in 1999. Split from Paddle Power in 2006 and started Extreme River Adventures, branded logo is ERA. In 2007 started the Highveld Croc River Kayakers club, we were 30 kayakers by 2009. In 2012 moved ERA to KZN on the South Coast and registered Extreme River Adventures Pty. Ltd. In 2012. Moved back to JHB in 2015. Accumulated over 10, 000hrs as a Professional river guide over a period of 20 years. Have competed in 3 national Kayak Rodeos and twice at the Blyde River Canyon kayak Xfest. Since then I have only done social paddling and been looking for investment for my project.
Current Situation:
ERA Inflatables is currently not operating due to the economic policies of the Government, and the lack so far on obtaining the funding needed to initiate Project IKE-1.
ERA, Extreme River Adventures, was registered as a Pty. Ltd. Company in 2013, renewing papers will need to be filed, and the Bank account is inactive since 2016. As a company I have not been conducting business under the ERA name brand. I have instead spent many hours loading the internet with my business proposals and searching for investment. Always using the brand name of ERA.
There are two active social media pages/groups on Face Book, Extreme River Adventures cc. and ERA Inflatables – Project IKE-1, connecting to over 1000 paddlers from across the globe.
The ERA Inflatables concept, was born in 2012, when I first came up with the idea to produce the IKE 1 kayak. Between then and now I have come up with 8 various custom designs for inflatable craft. So it made sense to create a business plan that would incorporate, a physically demanding marketing strategy and create job opportunities for the youth with the emphasis on female employment.
So to date, I have a completed; Business Plan, Marketing strategy, Use of funds, financial projected earnings for the next 3 years. Plus comprehensive designs for all 8 craft. To initiate the Flagship project – Project IKE 1 – actively searching for seed funding. There is an active crowd funding campaign requesting the activation amount of R30, 000-00.
The optimum investment amount to initiate the project without hic-ups and to cover all basic start-up funding costs is:
R250, 000-00. = USA$ 15, 600-00.

Use of Funds from the crowdfunding campaign:
Project IKE-1 on its own can be started with as little as R30, 000-00 or USA$ 2, 000-00. As the production costs of the 1st IKE-1 will be covered, and the re-location to set up trade in Mossel Bay can be achieved. Here the IKE-1 will be tested and all the footage will be loaded onto the web as part of the initial marketing of the craft. Starting slowly and building momentum to gather larger Investment and or generate enough capital to further the company on my own.
Once I have achieved a better standing and generated sufficient capital to enlarge the company, I will hire on the extra staff as it’s required. Building up to the standard at which point ERA Inflatables will acquire a property and establish the, Distribution Showroom & Head Offices for operations. Constructing and operating out of Mossel bay.

Reason for Funding:
The route to get the 1st Prototype manufactured is to raise the funds to have the 1st prototype manufactured. It will take a few months of testing and marketing to create necessary funds, before I can hire on the first staff, to assist in the marketing of the prototype IKE-1. So a re-model of my Business plan’s basic make up will precede any search for Seed funding and Help! A working model with proof of the IKE-1’s performance abilities is required before expansion can be achieved.
The expansion will include the employment of 4 Youth employees from the start, to be trained as Team IKE-1 Paddlers, Product Marketers and Professional River Guides. Two Male and Two Female. With every addition of the Showroom and distribution head office, will create many more jobs through other avenues associated to the brand name of ERA Inflatables.
The reasons to re-location down to the Western Cape to establish the business base in the town of Mossel bay. A coastal town that is growing and has great all year round weather. Access to warm ocean water, along with two local and yet to be commercialised rivers within a 35 min drive from the central town and a flourishing tourism trade all year round. There is currently only one commercial river operator in that area of the coast, and the second highest annual turnover in tourism within South Africa.
The Local Gov. has budgeted and is implementing huge upgrade to the business sectors and major construction to enlarge the residential requirements of the area. The expansion of the small harbour to accommodate the larger cruise liners will boost the local economy and create much needed business growth for the region. These factors alone make this the perfect area in South Africa to establish a Water Craft, Showroom & Product marketing head office. Placement and Access to water are KEY!
Collateral Details:
At Present and through circumstances, some beyond my control, collateral form ERA Inflatables no longer exists. Which is the main reason that I have initiated the funding campaign through social media, as a working model, that is already creating turnover will make the project more attractive to obtain further investment.
The IKE 1 project will not fail, the market exists and is primed and ready for a new version of Inflatable kayak, one with a slick look that functions the way a kayak is supposed to. Reacting to the slightest paddle stroke, handling with the agility of a solid hull craft, robust and well designed to handle any white water situation.
Years of research have provided me with the gap in the market that I have worked into the perfect design for a versatile and more functional inflatable kayak. One that has none of the flaws of the previous models and all the upgrades that will make the IKE-1 the no.1 selling inflatable kayak.
In the USA alone since 2017 over 1 million new inflatable kayak/canoe paddlers have taken up the sport. The world-wide market for inflatable kayaks and recreational water sports craft is growing annually. I believe in my product, and with the amount of research I put into my designs, ERA Inflatables and all her craft creations will be a huge success.
Due to the poor Rand to the strong– Dollar/Pound, massif profit margins are very achievable. Picture then attracting sales from 0.1% of that 1 million, = 1000 craft sold, @ min R3500 profit per IKE-1 = R3, 500, 000-00. = USA$ 233, 000-00. Achievable by marketing to both the commercial and personal paddling market on a global scale.

1st Years conservative estimate of sales – 100 IKE 1’s sold at the price of R9000-00. Will net us R300, 000-00. (USA$20, 000-00.) Gross Profit; R150, 000-00. (USA$10, 000-00). Against an investment of USA$15, 650-00.
Clearly shows that there is profit to share and if required the Investment amount can be settled within a short period of time which will create capital gains and free up liquid assets to invest further into the project.
Year 2 signals the launch of the Inflatable Wave Rider River Board & the IKE-2, to be marketed at the coastal hotels and resorts as an in-house ocean wave and surf play craft to be rented out by their guests for recreation at the beach. Then also to the commercial operator’s country wide and to the overseas market. The Establishment of the ERA Paddle Academy & the start of the international marketing push. The sales figure will escalate and the profit margin will grow rapidly.
ERA Inflatables No1 asset before even the first craft is produced, is the innovative custom floor bailing system which will be worked into every version of Inflatable craft. As there is nothing on the market currently that comes anything lose to my design.
The IKE-1 craft design, too is in a league of its own, it will have a unique shape and size, nothing as bulky as the current craft being released through other world brands in the inflatable craft industry.
On the USA and European markets and in the general overseas paddling community that do most purchases in USA$ the average market price for an Extreme Version Inflatable Kayak, new is USA$900-00. (That’s R13, 500-00.)
So with manufacturing prices staying around R6, 000-00, Sales will generate a steady R7, 500-00 per IKE-1 sold.
Keeping sales figures of 100 craft in a year, (Very Conservative, as actual sales figures should far exceed this and be at least 300 craft sold!) 100 x USA$900-00 = USA$90, 000-00. [While the production costs are USA$400-00 per craft x 100 sold = USA$40, 000-00. Leaves a profit of USA$50, 000-00. (R750, 000-00).
This amount excludes any other ERA Inflatable products sold during that year. As the start of year 2 signals the release of the other inflatables, the ERA Inflatable Wave-board & the ERA Inflatable SuP Board, IKE -2, Hippo, R-2, IK -1 & IKE-1X.
The full financial spread sheet will give you a far better idea of the projected profit and how the company will grow and generate sustained profit growth.
A short or long term investment and involvement can still be discussed and finalized once the appropriate investor has been established.

Hello Followers, than to all of you for joining. In the spirit of openness and honesty, i think its only fair that, YOU - THE IKE-1 followers be informed on the full scale of the marketing that will follow once tipping point is reached. So here it is listed below:
The plan entails entering and competing at as many of the Exfests listed below, as they will allow me to enter, otherwise i will only be there to demo and market the IKE-1.
River Festivals with Classing that will be attended are:
• The Thrombi fest in January in Underberg K.Z.N. Class 3-5.
• The Blyde ex-festival – Mpumalanga during Feb. Class 3-4+
• The Sabie Ex-fest, also in Mpumalanga in March. Class 3+,4
• Vic bay Classic at the end of March – Western Cape. Surf.
• Ash Festivals in June/July – O.F.S. Class 3-5, Cold water.
• The Mr Price Ocean Pro during the July school holidays – KZN.
• The Orange River fest during August – N Cape. Class 3-5.
• The Palmiet Fest in August – Western Cape. Class 2-4+
• The Usutu Fest in September – Swaziland. Class 3-5+
• The Zambezi festival During October – Zambia. Class 4-5.
• Vaal River National Rodeo in November. River wave surfing.
That makes 11 festivals in a year.
By organizing our own paddle festival, set to be held in the early part of December 2020. On one of the world class beaches or perhaps one of the local rivers of the Mossel bay area.

We will then have 12 paddle festivals in any given year.
With all going to plan, my 1st White Water Ex-fest in the IKE-1 will be on the Class3-5 Ash River, Clarence, O.F.S, South Africa, July 2020 - Our southern winter!
