FLSS Vikings

Vikings and our SGL ran a base at Kim Shield. Blindfolded Jenga and drink-pong.

The Vikings attended pop Bolton 2024 and had a blast doing various activities. We places 2nd for team spirit and 3rd place overall.

The Vikings did there part by voting for change in the South African elections.

AGM done and dusted. Congratulations Kiana Paraufor getting rover of the year and congratulations to Brittany Kretzschmarfor getting scouter of the year.

Fueled by coffee and hot chocolate Vikings braced the cold at the West Rand Night Hike. We ran a glow in the dark rock painting base as well as a Star Wars themed skit! What a great time !⚜️🥱🪨🖌️

What a fantastic, competitive evening bowling with Phoenix Rover Crew South Africa🎳 We took to the pool tables afterwards to conclude our evening! ⚜️

Vikings braved the cold helping out at . From tower duties to graveyard shifts we had a great time supporting the scouts!

Crew social: boating and pizza. Had fun learning new things and having delicious pizza 🛶 🍕

The kitchen at the Florida Lake Sea Scout hall needed a revamp and our squire .parau_ finished her squire project with the help of the crew.

Rover day 2023 was a blast, the Vikings did tie-dyeing of scarfs and button badge making.

End of year AGM with the meerkats, cubs, scouts and rovers. Got to dig up the old time capsule with the FLSS alumni and then add a new time capsule. Florida lake sea scouts turned 75 this year. Congratulations to Brittany Kretzschmar for rover of the year.

The Vikings attend Rover Fest 2022, the theme was Harry Potter. Had a blast making candles, potions, doing yoga and hip hop dancing. Also had fun on the water! Did service projects 1st Victory View Scout Troop by constructing a spot light/ flag pole and did some welding and reconstructing to their gate.

The Vikings ran a base at Kim shield on the weekend. The scouts had to chip golf balls in to buckets.

The Vikings had an awesome time at Rover tiki. The Vikings helped with judging the other Rover crews rafts and making sure they were safe by going on the gig as the rescue team.

The past weekend the Vikings organize and ran the Westrand district night hike. At our base they made omelettes in a bag. The scouts had a blast.

On the weekend the Vikings helped with the meerkats. Playing games,learning about solar ovens and a short hike.

Rover day 2022 was awesome as the Vikings did tie-dyeing of scarfs and button badge making as well as using our very own homemade Solar oven to “bake” the scarfs.

The Vikings Rover Crew invites anyone between the ages of 17-25, to join us for a fun filled day of activities such as boating, rope making and games. Covid rules will be implemented. The Vikings went to ballito, Durban for Brittany Kretzschmar expedition. Had a wonderful time exploring the beach and trails.
