On Friday,the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) visited St Peter’s Prep Schools and our staff had the privilege of giving back to the community by donating blood.

Look what our kiddies have created with loose parts!

Loose part play is an engaging way for young children to foster their creativity, and bring their imagination to life. It encourages fine motor development and collaborative play while supporting sensory exploration and cognitive growth. 🌟

Last week, we learned about how to reduce our carbon footprint, reuse items in our school, and recycle as much as possible to help make Johannesburg a safer, cleaner, and happier place. We used recycled goods to express our learning in a bold and meaningful way!

Believing strongly in education, The St Peter's Foundation hosted some Vuleka School teachers at a unique Wellbeing Conference that took place over the past two days. The main theme, 'Pathways to Flourishing,' was organized by Intrinsic Education. The conference featured a lineup of world-renowned speakers, with keynote speaker Lea Waters discussing 'Replenishing Student Wellbeing without Depleting Teacher Energy.' Vuleka teachers joined educators from various schools to learn and adopt new tools and methods for their work.

St Peters is so excited to be hosting this one-of- a-kind Wellbeing Conference over the next two days! The main theme of the conference is ‘Pathways to Flourishing’ and Intrinsic Education put together an exciting line up of world renowned, insightful speakers, with the Keynote speaker being Lea Waters, speaking on ‘Replenishing Student Wellbeing without depleting Teacher Energy’. Teachers from all across South Africa have come together to learn and embrace new tools and ways of working.

We're thrilled to introduce our newest addition to the playground - our Buddy Bench!
This bench is a special place where children can sit if they're looking for a friend to play with, promoting a sense of belonging and kindness ❤️

The 2nd Parent Connect Conference is done and dusted! A thought provoking and positive look at Future Proofing your Child by Graeme Codrington, followed by interesting information on how a child's brain works and how the digital world is impacting our chidren, psycholgically, physiologically and emotionally by Dr Alicia Porter. Klikd shared eye-opening realities on what our children are being exposed to and amazing advice on how to follow the path, as parents, so that we can stay connected to our children. We enjoyed our very own panel discussion made up of teachers and parents at St Peter's, answering and discussing questions that we all have at the back of our minds. Thank you to all who organised, spoke at and attended this extremely worthwhile Connect Conference. Parents, you have got this!

We were thrilled to welcome many potential new St Peter’s families to our campus last week to experience St Peter’s at our Open Days. Friday was a full school open day for boys and girls from Gr000 to Gr7 and on Saturday we offered future pupils the chance to experience a day in Grade 0. Many smiles and lots of fun, with some little people not wanting to leave. 😊

What a joy it was to gather with our fabulous Pre-Prep families this past Saturday for a heartwarming family picnic! 💖 From painting rocks for our upcoming vegetable garden path to scratching around the playground on a scavenger hunt, every moment was filled with laughter, creativity, and connection.
