Mind-Body Connections. Chronic pain is becoming the new norm for many people especially when it comes to back pain. I suffered from Chronic back pain, sometimes debilitating pain since I was a teenager up until about 30. It was only when I discovered how to move functionally and also understand how what I thought and felt affected my back that I started getting real breakthroughs.

Would you like to relieve your back pain? Then learning how to bend correctly is the first step. Many of us were taught the band-aid approach to bend which is to keep your back straight and use your knees which is not the body's functional or optimal method!

Many of my back pain clients are getting great results quickly by simply learning how to bend functionally.

The 5 big mistakes people make when exercising.
1. Choosing the wrong exercises for their body or unique condition.
2. Have a no pain no gain approach. If it hurts it must be good. Many of the exercises I see are self destructive.
3. Focusing on muscles rather than movements. Questions like what is the best exercise for this muscle?
4. Mindless movements. No thought or focus on how the body feels or muscles being used during the exercises
5. Not giving your body enough time to rest and repair.

Choosing the right exercises for YOU is important but doing them correctly makes all the difference.

Increase core strength, mobility and flexibility without having to do painful stretches and strenuous exercises. The truth is you don't have to stretch to become more flexible. The secret is functional movements, moving in accord with your body. Most conventional methods to strengthen and stretch the body today are what I call dysfunctional movements. The names of the exercises give it away, plank, bridge, cat curl, clam etc. This is where the coaching is helpful, what you need is not another exercise but an education on how to move correctly!
