PKF Durban wishes the Gordhan family our deepest condolences on the passing of the honorable Pravin Gordhan.

We recently had the honour of hosting a client function where Pravin spoke of his days in politics, his time in the revenue service as well as government.

We witnessed first hand the improvement of SARS under his watch and we salute him for his role in the dark days of Apartheid together with
his vision in the better days of the new South Africa and his impact in the development of the democratic process.

Today we acknowledge his contributions that have not only safeguarded the country’s democracy but have also inspired future generations to pursue a vision of South Africa that embodies the true meaning of freedom and equality.🇿🇦

Last week our AEP Audit team tested out their fitness levels and padel skills on the court for their annual team build! Such fun! 🎾🎾🎾

A message from Kiara Rugbar following her two week humanitarian project in Zambia.

“Attending a two-week humanitarian project as a volunteer in Zambia was a profoundly transformative experience. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the warmth of the children from the Lubasi home. Working alongside the children, I learned not just about the challenges they face, but also about their incredible strength and determination.

During the project, I had the opportunity to contribute to various initiatives that are run by Mr Antony Ranjan. Each day was filled with meaningful interactions and tasks.

The entire experience has had a huge impact on me. This experience has not only broadened my perspective on global issues but also deepened my commitment to making a difference.

I returned home with a renewed sense of purpose, enriched by the connections I made and inspired by the resilience I witnessed.

Volunteering in Zambia was not just an act of service, it was a journey of personal growth and an affirmation of our shared humanity.

I have made lifelong friendships with my fellow volunteers and great bonds with the children and the staff at the Lubasi home that I will never forget.

I am truly grateful to PKF for this opportunity.”

That’s a wrap on day 1 of our PKF Durban Vacation program!

We recently celebrated the completion of the Speechcraft course at PKF Durban.

Ten young candidates from across all departments took part in this awesome training course with its main focus on the development of public speaking skills.

Our Training Partner Asif Mayat presented our trainees with their completion certificates. Well done to all our candidates!!!

A team of volunteers from our French member firm PKF Arsilon, PKF WULF GRUPPE in Germany and PKF Durban in South Africa will be flying out to Zambia tomorrow to take part in a two-week humanitarian programme organised by PKF Zambia Chartered Accountants.

Our volunteers will be based at Lubasi Children’s Home, an establishment founded by PKF Zambia Managing Partner Antony Ranjan to provide residential care and education for orphans and vulnerable children. As well as working with the children at the home, our volunteers will also support local mental health patients and assist at Maramba Old People’s Home.

We’re incredibly proud of our volunteers and member firms for taking meaningful action to support projects so close to PKF Zambia’s heart.
