Today we had a group of solar sector players organized by Zambia Renewable Energy visit our office, a solar coldroom facility and one of our farmers Mrs Monze that's been using solar for her farm activities since 2019.

It was a pleasure interacting and sharing our little experience regards Productive Uses of Renewable Energy. At Ndkay, we love promoting productive use of solar.

This week on tuesday we visited Mrs Monze, a seasoned vegetable farmer that has been using a 3hp power hybrid pump(AC/DC) supplied and installed by Ndkay Zambia in 2019 through a pilot for solar powered irrigation initiative made possible with support from Musika Zambia .
During this current power rationing period, Mrs Monze is still able to pump 36000 liters per day for her irrigation thanks to this solar powered pump.
We took note of other challenges in her farming business such as cost of inputs which is outside our scope.
We got encouraged by her zeal for farming at her age. Mrs Monze requested us to find her an offtaker for lettuce, which is her best crop over the years. She lost some of her customers in 2023 when her farm activities went down due to thefts of her farm equipment.
We are now looking for a serious lettuce offtaker on her behalf to ensure she continues with her amazing passion for farming in a profitable way. Leads will be appreciated.

It was an honor to share our experiences on eco warehouse cooling and solar systems at ZAMMSA with our visitors from Tanzania Medical Stores. We also shared the importance of maintenance. This 240KWp systems still produces @65% despite the dirt covering the panels. Installation was handed over in 2017

Location: Various Locations, 10 in each (Chongwe, Rufunsa, Luangwa, Nyimba, Sinda, Katete, Kasenengwa, Chipangali, Lumezi, Lundazi, Chama, Chirundu, Chikankata, Mazabuka, Monze, Choma, Gwembe, Zimba, Sinazongwe, Namwala, Kasempa, Solwezi, Zambezi, Kabompo, Lukulu, Kabwe, Kapiri-Mposhi, Mpongwe, Chingola, Chililabombwe, Mufulira, Mumbwa, Itezhi-tezhi, Kaoma, Mongu, Serenje, Mpika, Mwense, Kawambwa, Nchelenge, Chiengi, Kaputa, Mpulungu, Mbala and Isoka)
Contract: Commission Basis

Responsibilities
Selling of goods and products on commission basis
Sourcing of interested customers for the products
Recording details of comments, inquiries, complaints and actions taken
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The following may be required through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience and/or on-the-job training.
A Grade twelve certificate
Excellent verbal and written English
Ability to understand product and buyer needs
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Women and Locals are especially encouraged to apply
Certificate in marketing/ Mass communication will be an added advantage
