Saving Sight in Zambia
When sight is restored to people who are visually impaired, or when blindness is prevented, it doesn’t just improve the lives of individuals. It strengthens their communities. Men and women can return to work. Children go back to school. Individuals can contribute to their community helping to build a better future for their families.
Orbis Zambia works with local partners to develop their capacity for accessible, high-quality, sustainable eye-health services for all, regardless of their ability to pay. We do this by developing infrastructure, providing training to local doctors, nurses and community members, and conducting outreach services.
