The Kyle College Interact Club hosted the annual "Miss Kyle" event on the evening of Monday, August 5, 2024. The Interact Club put in a lot of effort to organize this prestigious event. VIP ticket holders walked in on a red carpet, passing under an arch of black and gold balloons. The hall was beautifully decorated with colorful lights, and the tables were themed in black and gold. A ramp with a red carpet was specifically set up for the models to showcase different attire categories. During the event, a three-course meal was served while the models changed between categories. Members of the Interact Club were busy plating the food prepared by Chef Gavi and Chef Chenayimoyo, and then they served the attendees. The highlight of the evening was the judges' announcement of the winners.

Congratulations to the Interact Club and Office Bearers for hosting a very enjoyable evening.

Special mention should be made of Tawanda Zulu (President), Hosea Ziwahwa (Vice President and Master of Ceremonies), Tashinga Mutemachani (Treasurer), Rebecca Mazana (Secretary), and Tawana Mugabe (Project Manager).

On Thursday, our choir visited Pioneer Lodge, where they performed and entertained the elderly, uplifting their spirits.
Hebrews 13:16. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

Mufarowashe Chimombe and Tameika Mugabe have been selected to join the ATS Under 16 Girls' Basketball team. The selection process was rigorous, and they have demonstrated exceptional skills. They will travel to South Africa from the 26th to the 30th of September 2024 for the International School of South Africa Basketball tournament in Mahikeng. Well done and Congratulations, girls!

The Careers Guidance Department organized a Careers fair for Form 4 students. The event aimed to provide insights and advice to students interested in various fields, including physiotherapy, pharmacy, geology, mechanical engineering, finance, and public relations. A diverse panel of experts from each of these industries shared their experiences, career pathways, and insights into the skill sets required for success in their respective fields. The event was attended by Bikita Minerals, Booties Pharmacy, TelOne Learning Centre, Great Zimbabwe University, and Banc ABC to name a few. Many thanks to these stakeholders for their participation!

"The U6 trip to Makurumidze River and Pokoteke Gorge on Thursday, July 25, 2024, was an enlightening experience. The excursion gave students a practical understanding of river studies, connecting theoretical knowledge to real-life geography.

During our visit to Makurumidze River, we observed and appreciated the characteristics of a meandering channel. Additionally, we gained insight into the impact of human activities on river discharge.

As we approached Pokoteke Gorge, the students were captivated by the breathtaking view, fostering a newfound appreciation for the marvels of nature.

Furthermore, we identified various geomorphological processes and features, such as weathering and mass movement."

The Outdoor Skills Club ventured to Gonarezhou National Park last weekend for their much-anticipated camping trip. They had the opportunity to reconnect with nature and savor the wilderness in its full splendor. Fueled by robust flame-grilled meals, the group experienced an informative and thrilling weekend.

Many thanks to Digital Base for a successful Careers Day! The children had a great time! Special thanks to our dedicated staff members who supported the event by wearing uniforms.

The boys' hockey team faced Falcon College in a challenging match. The first team delivered a commendable performance, despite a narrow 1-0 defeat to Falcon. They battled valiantly until the end. The U16s faced a tough 6-0 loss, which served as a valuable experience and learning opportunity for the young players.
