DIDI hosted architecture students from Universidad de Santo Tomas✨ The tour, led by Professor Carlos Montaña, Cross Disciplinary Design Faculty at DIDI, showcased our Main Studio, Fashion Workshop, Biomaterials experimentation, Fabrication Lab, Robotic Arm, and the vibrant d3 campus.

In the Strategic Design Management course "Production Design and Development," facilitated by Dr. Susann Sonnenberg, Faculty of Strategic Design Management at DIDI, students embarked on an enlightening journey to Masdar City. Delving deep into this innovative urban oasis, they gleaned insights from its pioneering sustainable practices, making it the perfect case study for our curriculum. Masdar City boasts the world's highest number of LEED-certified buildings, setting the benchmark for sustainable urban development.

Today our students participated in the award ceremony and presentation of the results of the Saporiti Design Experience Dubai 2024. 🎉 Led by Mirko Daneluzzo, Product Design Faculty at DIDI, and Andrea Macruz, former Product Design Faculty at DIDI in collaboration with Saporiti Italia, DIDI students embarked on a journey to reinvent iconic chairs from the Saporiti Italia Collection. The winning design, developed by our students was inspired by the vibrant tapestry of UAE's cultural heritage and the age-old tradition of falconry.

DIDI has entered into strategic collaborations with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and The New School’s Parsons School of Design to develop a curriculum that is designed to empower DIDI students to map out their own four-year educational journey, culminating in the region’s first Integrated Bachelor of Design degree, with a choice of concentration in the areas of Product Design, Multimedia Design, Fashion Design and Strategic Design Management.
